  • ‘Say, Drake,’ Schemes That Todd Set Up & ‘SINNERS’: Funniest, Wildest & Messiest BOSSIP Headlines Of 2025

2025 was another hilariously messy mishmash of mayhem that peaked with Kendrick giving Drake one final WOP WOP WOPPING during his legendary performance at the Super Bowl.

In one of the buzziest Super Bowl shows ever, the Compton rapper diabolically demolished what’s left of Drake during his world-stopping performance at Super Bowl LIX.

As expected, Kendrick gave the people what they wanted and performed his Grammy-winning Drake diss ‘Not Like Us‘ that shattered the whole entire internet.

At one point, he went full villain in a now-legendary Super Bowl moment, rapping “say Drake…I heard you like ’em young” while smiling deviously into the camera.

Overall, 2025 was a delicious mess fest that also gave us Diddy’s reckoning courtesy of his arch nemesis 50 Cent, Drake collecting one L after another after multiple failed lawsuits, Cardi gallivanting around with her baller boo thang Stefon Diggs, yappin’ Young Thug going viral for his now-infamous leaked chatty patty sessions in jail, and much more.

Back in September 2025, social media spiraled into chaos over countless jail calls where the “Lifestyle” rapper vented about various hot topics like his relationship with ex-BFF Gunna, his very unpopular view on serving life in prison (“If we go to life for prison, whoopty doo!”), and more in unintentionally hilarious soundbites currently making their rounds across the internet.

In the viral episode, Thug can be seen venting about various hot topics like his relationship with ex-BFF Gunna, his very unpopular view on serving life in prison (“If we go to life for prison, whoopty doo!”), and more in unintentionally hilarious soundbites currently making their rounds across the internet.

Check out the full episode below:

This comes after the ‘Money On Money’ rapper lashed out at everyone from Drake to Kendrick Lamar to Andre 3000, former BFF Gunna, and GloRilla, who was allegedly called “ugly” and disrespected for her looks during a messy conversation with his boo thang, Mariah the Scientist.

Oh baby, it was quite the (hilarious) saga that will certainly be remembered after 2025 and beyond.

The actress let her fans inside of her “epic birthday family trip” with a carousel of images on Instagram. The post included sweet moments with Majors as well as their siblings.

“THEE MOST EPIC BIRTHDAY FAMILY TRIP EVER! .. such beautiful memories I will cherish for a lifetime,” she captioned the post. “I love each and everyone of you with my full entire heart . Thank you to every single person who made this epic !”

Of course, the trip wouldn’t be complete without Good’s hubby sporting a Civil Rights era fit complete with suspenders and a fedora. That’s her KANG! She also made sure to refer to Majors as the “love of my life” when captioning a video of the two dancing in front of the ocean under the moonlight.

The pair also launched their couples page on TikTok as well as their fitness brand “Honor Culture.” It’s unclear exactly what the brand is but the two of them look super fit in the videos they’ve dropped thus far. Fans have asked if there will be merch available as both Good and Majors have been seen rocking a hat with a ‘H’ that seems to symbolize the brand, to which the actress confirmed, “stay tuned.” On their shared social media page, the two have also uploaded couples content and a look into their lives as newlyweds.

Meagan has been busy letting the world know how much she loves her man lately. From showing off the two tattoos she has in his honor—one reads Johnny’s Girl” underneath her bra line—to appearing on an episode of gospel rapper Lecrae’s podcast, The Deep End, where they detailed the story of their love, including Majors’ legal battles that Good stayed by his side through.

“I literally would not be a walking, talking, breathing being, had it not been for the Lord putting Meagan in my life,” Majors said on the episode. “I was completely abandoned.”

And it seems that Majors was also a saving grace for Meagan as she revealed that she was “mad at God” after her divorce from Hollywood producer and pastor DeVon Franklin after a decade of marriage. After his filing, she realized that their story hit uncomfortably close to home for her and dug up a deep childhood wound.

“I was still upset at God. Part of me was like ‘you bamboozled me’,” she said. “I’m mad at you. I did this, I did that and I did this. You knew that this was my greatest fear, that my mom and dad divorced after ten years. I want to trust you and I have no choice but to trust you, but I’m struggling with how to ever see anything the same anymore.”

She also made it clear that she’s seen all of your little memes about her being “Coretta” to her Kang, and she agrees.

“Coretta? You damn right. Absolutely,” she said.

    Well, march on, Mrs. Good-Majors.

Meagan Good Reveals How She Met Jonathan Majors

On Wednesday, July 10, PEOPLE published an exclusive interview with Good via YouTube. About six minutes into the interview, Good explained that she “didn’t anticipate falling in love again” after her divorce from DeVon Franklin.

Additionally, the 42-year-old revealed how she and Majors met.

“We met at an event — I’m not gonna get too into it,” Good said. “But, yeah, it just was instant chemistry.”

However, Good explained that she “wasn’t really” in the “mind frame” of pursuing another romance.

“And then we re-met again, about four months later,” she continued. “And I was like, ‘This is gonna happen, this is gonna happen.’ And it did.”

The Actress Shares Their Reaction To Initial Reports About Their Romance

Good explained that there wasn’t a specific moment when she decided to unveil her romance with Majors. Instead, “it was something that just sort of happened.”

“There was never a moment where we decided we wanted to do that, it was something that just sort of happened,” Good explained.

As The Shade Room previously reported, in May 2023, reports surfaced that Good was spotted with Majors at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles, California. At the time, neither actor confirmed or denied the reports.

“Someone saw us somewhere going to a movie and then kind of reported it, and we [were] like, ‘Should we shut it down or not?’ And I was like, ‘No, because people have a perception of you that’s not true — perception of who you date that’s not true,’” Good recalled.

Good explained that Majors even tried to encourage her to “not be with him.” However, she wasn’t going for it.

“I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s not going to happen,’” Good explained.

Ultimately, Good even shared that her romance with Majors “forced” him to step more into the public eye.

Meagan Good Recently Detailed Her Romance With The Actor

As The Shade Room previously reported, Majors made headlines in March 2023 after his ex-girlfriend accused him of assault. The ordeal ultimately concluded with a trial where the actor was partially convicted of harassment and assault and sentenced to probation and counseling earlier this year.

Earlier this week, Good revealed that “every friend” of hers encouraged her to wait to pursue a romance with Majors until after his trial. She admitted that she wasn’t here for that idea either.

“… At the end of the day, one thing I know is I can always look myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit,” she explained before adding. “… And I also want to live the life that I want to live.”

Jonathan Majors has secured his first movie role following his misdemeanor assault conviction. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 34-year-old is set to star in ‘Merciless,’ a supernatural revenge thriller.

Details On Jonathan Majors’ Upcoming Movie Role

The plot is reportedly based on a CIA interrogator who encounters and is forced to eliminate an evil energy that overtook his loved one. Filming is scheduled for the fall.

Christopher Tuffin, the producer of the box-office smash ‘Sound of Freedom,’ will produce the movie. Kevin Townsend and Kevin DeWalt will also be producers. Frank Hannah wrote the script, and Martin Villeneuve, brother of ‘Dune’ filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, is bringing the project to life.

As previously reported by The Shade Room, the actor lost several movie roles and campaigns after his legal troubles began. Searchlight Pictures backed out on distributing ‘Magazine Dreams’ after his guilty verdict in December 2023. Additionally, Marvel Studios dropped Majors after he was slated to play Kang in the ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ film.

Furthermore, Variety reported that Majors was axed from the film The Man in My Basement, a production by Protagonist Pictures.

The actor was also dropped from the highly anticipated film’ 48 Hours In Vegas,’ which centers around Dennis Rodman. Lionsgate intended to reveal the NBA superstar’s infamous Vegas trip during the ’98 NBA Finals. However, things fell apart when the ‘Creed’ actor was handed a guilty verdict.

Majors’ Assault Incident That Derailed His Career

As previously reported, Majors was accused of assaulting Jabbari during a March 2023 car ride. He was later found guilty of one count of misdemeanor third-degree assault and one count of second-degree harassment. Jonathan managed to curve one count of assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Prior to his conviction, Majors’ career and opportunities were steadily rising. The thespian had a break-out role in ‘The Last Black Man in San Fransisco.’ He later nabbed Spike Lee’s ‘Da 5 Bloods’ and wowed viewers with his depiction of Tic in ‘Lovecraft Country.’

Critics say the role likely made him into a leading man. Majors has once more received the opportunity to carry a film with his role in ‘Merciless.’

Jonathan Majors avoids jail time in sentencing for assaulting ex-girlfriend – National | Globalnews.ca

    [ad_1]

Actor Jonathan Majors has been ordered to complete a yearlong counselling program but avoided jail time Monday for assaulting his ex-girlfriend in a high-profile case that derailed the once-promising star’s career.

The 34-year-old star of Creed III and other films had faced up to a year behind bars after he was convicted of misdemeanor assault by a Manhattan jury in December.

In court Monday, Judge Michael Gaffey sentenced Majors to conditional discharge after noting that both sides in the case agreed the charges did not warrant jail time.

He said Majors must complete a 52-week, in-person batterer’s intervention program in Los Angeles, where the actor lives. He also has to continue with the mental health therapy his lawyers say he’s been participating in. Majors faces a year in jail if found in violation of the terms, which also included a no contact order with his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Majors, dressed in all black and accompanied by his girlfriend, actor Meagan Good, declined to address the court and left the courthouse without speaking to reporters.

His lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, said the actor did not want to make any public statement that Jabbari could use against him in the civil suit she’s filed against the actor.

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good arrive at Criminal Court on Monday, April 8, 2024 in New York.

Brittainy Newman / The Associated Press

Majors, she added, is “committed to growing as a person” and will complete any court-mandated programs “with an open heart” even as he maintains his innocence and plans to appeal.

“He’s lost his whole career,” Chaudhry said in court. “This has been the most challenging year of his life.”

But Jabbari, fighting back tears as she addressed the court, said Majors refuses to acknowledge his guilt and remains a danger to those around him.

    Story continues below advertisement

“He’s not sorry. He has not accepted responsibility, ” she said. “He will do this again and he will hurt other women. He believes he is above the law.”

Jabbari said Majors had made her believe the two were in a loving relationship, but, in reality, he isolated her from the rest of the world and cut her off from family and friends.

“I was so emotionally dependent on him,” she said. “I became a different person around him — small, scared and vulnerable.”

Rather than acknowledge his actions, Majors has been openly critical of the court proceedings, launching a “high-powered PR campaign” that included a nationally televised interview, added Assistant District Attorney Kelli Galloway as she argued for a sentence of violence counseling for Majors.

Following the December guilty verdict, Majors was immediately dropped by Marvel Studios, which had cast him as Kang the Conqueror, a role envisioned as the main villain in the entertainment empire’s movies and television shows for years to come.

    Story continues below advertisement

The conviction stemmed from an altercation last March in which Jabbari accused him of attacking her in the backseat of a chauffeured car, saying he hit her head with his open hand, twisted her arm behind her back and squeezed her middle finger until it fractured.

Majors claimed the 31-year-old British dancer was the aggressor, flying into a jealous rage after reading a text message from another woman on his phone. He maintained he was only trying to regain his phone and get away from Jabbari safely.

Majors had hoped his two-week criminal trial would vindicate him. In a television interview shortly after his conviction, he said he deserves a second chance.

But the California native and Yale University graduate still faces Jabbari’s civil suit, which she filed last month in Manhattan federal court. In the suit, Jabbari accuses Majors of assault, battery, defamation and inflicting emotional distress, claiming he subjected her to escalating incidents of physical and verbal abuse during their relationship. The two met in 2021 on the set of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, in which Majors played Kang.

    Story continues below advertisement

Majors’ lawyers have declined to respond to the claims, saying only that they are preparing to file counterclaims against Jabbari.

The actor had his breakthrough role in 2019’s The Last Black Man in San Francisco. He also starred in the HBO horror series Lovecraft Country, which earned him an Emmy nomination, and as the nemesis to fictional boxing champ Adonis Creed in the blockbuster Creed III.

As for Marvel, a looming question remains whether the studio will recast the role of Kang or pivot in a new direction.

Majors’ departure was among a recent series of high-profile setbacks for the vaunted superhero factory, which has earned an unprecedented US$30 billion worldwide from 33 films.

The Photos Arrive As Meagan Good’s Boo Jonathan Majors Faces More Legal Trouble

According to Variety, Meagan Good’s boyfriend, Jonathan Majors, was hit with a defamation lawsuit on Tuesday, March 19. Additionally, the lawsuit was reportedly filed by his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

The outlet adds that Jabbari is accusing Majors of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Furthermore, Jabbari is also reportedly accusing Majors of “malicious prosecution.”

The outlet adds that Jabbari’s suit stems from Majors repeatedly denying assaulting her during his previous criminal trial and interview with ‘Good Morning America.’ As The Shade Room previously reported, during the interview, Majors maintained that he did not assault Jabbari in March 2023, despite being convicted of assault and harassment against her by a jury in December 2023.

According to Variety, Majors is scheduled to face sentencing for the criminal conviction next month.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Meagan Good most recently gushed about her romance with Majors while they appeared at the NAACP Image Awards this past weekend.

The actor declared that she’s happily in love with Majors. Additionally, she shared how she coped throughout his criminal trial.

“I’m in love, I’m transitioning, I’m healing, I’m growing [and] I’m getting excited about what’s next… I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time,” she said. “I keep my eyes on God… And I stay true to myself, and I stay authentic. I know what I know that I know. And in time, everything else just catches up with what you know if you’re true to yourself and you’re authentic.”

Social media is buzzing over Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good‘s rather interesting “kiss” on the red carpet at the 55th Annual NAACP Awards in L.A.

The heart-eyed couple could be seen playfully switching places to take a picture together before, uh, kissing (or something like that) in a now-viral video posted by BET on Twitter X.

Now, to be fair, it seemed like Majors was trying to avoid smudging Meagan Good’s lipstick but that didn’t stop social media from jumping to conclusions in an endless barrage of quote tweets.

In an interview with ET’s Kevin Frazier, Good gushed over her relationship with Majors a few weeks after revealing that they’re “in love” during the AAFCA Special Achievement Awards luncheon.

“I am happy, you know? It’s really crazy,” said Good. “I mean, so much is going on. These past two years have been a crazy two years for me, but I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time, even with all the crazy. God is just doing incredible things and so, trust in God, in the journey, and I’m like, ‘Alright lord, what’s next?’”

Majors joined Good mid-interview and matched her energy while staring lovingly into her eyes during the interview.

“I love everything she does and I’m glad she’s being acknowledged today, by us, amen,” he said.

When asked what it’s like to have her on his arm, he replied, “You want me to cry? *laughs* love is beautiful, you know, support, accountability, all those things, someone to talk to and chat with and get better with, you know, and for, God is good.”

While their love seems stronger than ever, Majors’ legal issues are not behind him yet with sentencing in his assault conviction scheduled for April.

We make beautiful art and the contribution that’s made to the film landscape is grown by the contributions of many of the people in this room. We are happy to be here,” Majors added, sharing his optimism about the Oscars becoming more diverse.

PEOPLE reports that the couple is still very much so together after the Marvel actor was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, in addition to him facing domestic violence claims from women he dated as an undergrad.

A source claims Megan 42, and Majors, 34, are “solid and very much in love” as they shack up at Meagan’s crib in the Greenwich Village area of The Big Apple. Their place has been hearing the pitter-patter of little feet paws after welcoming a 3-month-old Belgian Malinois puppy that they’re caring for together.

A source told the outlet they’re easy to spot around the lower Manhattan area in which they live because they’re regularly walking their dog. According to TMZ, they took their new addition on a road trip cross-country from L.A. to the East Coast, making a stop in Texas to visit the Creed star’s mother, Terri.

After the pair returned from their trip, the New York Times published interviews conducted with the actor’s exes, Emma Duncan, who alleged physical and emotional abuse, and Maura Hooper who claimed the actor emotionally abused her. “The Harder The Fall” actor’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, categorized the relationships with his college lovers as “toxic” and admitted he “did say hurtful things,” but the claims of physical abuse are false.

“These relationships were between young drama students and all began with mutual intensity,” Chaudhry stated. Hooper and Majors’ relationship spanned two years from 2013 to 2015. His relationship with Duncan extended from 2015 to 2019.

On Tuesday, two days before the Times report dropped, Majors was calendared to be sentenced for the Jabbari case, but proceedings were postponed due to a motion filed by his attorneys to set aside the verdict. The actor has a new sentencing date set for April 8. He could spend up to one year in jail.

The Lovecraft Country actor received a guilty verdict on December 18 for third-degree misdemeanor assault and recklessly causing bodily harm. Additionally, he was found guilty of harassment in the second degree related to a fight with his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari in March 2023. Majors told anchor Linsy Davis of ABC News that he was stunned after hearing the verdict, as he believed the jury would acknowledge his attempt to flee from Grace in the security footage.

In the exclusive interview, Majors stated he “was absolutely shocked and afraid” when he was found guilty.

“How is that possible? Based off the evidence, based off the prosecution’s evidence, let alone our evidence,” he added.

Brittany Henderson, Grace Jabbari’s lawyer, submitted a statement to ABC News claiming Jonathan took “no accountability for his actions” in the interview.

Jonathan has been dropped from several movies and brand endorsements but stated he remains hopeful and thankful for his support system.

“I’m surrounded by people who love me, who care about me. But this has been very, very, very hard, and very difficult, and confusing in many ways,” he expressed. “But I’m standing.”

As long as Majors has his “Coretta” by his side, he should be alright.

  • Jonathon Majors’ ‘Magazine Dreams’ Unlikely to Get Searchlight Release Amid Star’s Conviction

Jonathon Majors’ ‘Magazine Dreams’ Unlikely to Get Searchlight Release Amid Star’s Conviction

    [ad_1]

A year ago, Jonathan Majors embarked on a 29-hour drive from his home in New York City to Park City, Utah, where he unveiled the body building drama Magazine Dreams to rapturous reviews at the Sundance Film Festival. It was the start of what was supposed to be a banner year, which was to include blockbuster roles and an awards season campaign for Magazine Dreams.

That dream has been put on hold as the actor awaits a Feb. 6 sentencing for assault and harassment convictions following a March 2023 incident involving ex-partner Grace Jabbari.

The career fallout for Majors has been severe, with Disney-owned Marvel Studios dropping him as chief villain Kang the Conqueror hours after his conviction. And the fate of Magazine Dreams is still in the balance at esteemed specialty studio Searchlight, also owned by Disney.

Searchlight, home of numerous Oscar best picture winners, acquired Magazine Dreams after Sundance in February 2023. The studio gave the film an awards-friendly December release date, but pulled it from the calendar in October in the leadup to Majors’ trial.

Now, a release by Searchlight is looking more and more unlikely.

Officially, Searchlight is maintaining radio silence on the project’s fate. Unofficially, sources close to the project do not see a scenario in which Searchlight opens the movie on the big screen, or even on Disney’s more adult-skewing streaming service Hulu as some have speculated. Marketing the film would likely be problematic, because of its themes of personal violence.

Yet others are confident the film will still see the light of day elsewhere. It is possible Searchlight could decide to return Magazine Dreams to the filmmakers, who could shop the film to other buyers. Jennifer Fox, Dan Gilroy, Jeffrey Soros and Simon Horsman produced the feature, with Majors among the executive producers.

Magazine Dreams hails from writer-director Elijah Bynum, who first penned it as a tale of isolation and alienation during the early days of the pandemic. He put the script aside for a year before one day seeing Majors’ face on a Los Angeles city bus and becoming inspired to rewrite it for the actor specifically. The movie stars Majors as Killian Maddox, an amateur body builder who battles personal demons.

Majors trained for 18 months to transform himself physically for the role, which critics have compared to Robert De Niro’s work as Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver. The film shot for 24 days around L.A. and ultimately landed the creative vision jury prize at Sundance.

“It’s an all-in performance for the ages, layered with as much vulnerability as anger, and it’s to Majors’ credit that our hearts ache for Killian even — or perhaps especially — when he’s out of control,” wrote The Hollywood Reporter chief film critic David Rooney out of Sundance. “Majors and writer-director Elijah Bynum manage the considerable feat of making us fear more for the intimidating colossus than the quivering employer he’s standing over.”

After Searchlight acquired the film, for under the $10 million range, sources say the plan was for Bynum to fine tune a cut of the feature for its theatrical release, though it’s unclear if work commenced on this new cut. What is clear: Sundance already felt like a soft launch for a Majors’ Oscar campaign.

“It would have 100 percent been in the awards conversation” had it not been for Majors’ legal troubles, says one source in the orbit of the film.

As for Majors, he is attempting to reframe his public image and perhaps save his career. In an unusual move for someone awaiting sentencing, he granted a broadcast interview that has been airing this week on ABC. Asked by ABC News Live “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis if he believed he would work in Hollywood again, he stated: “Yeah. I do. I pray I do.”

Jonathan Majors Ex Had Special Request After He Was Convicted Of Assault

    [ad_1]

Amid his new interview with ABC News, many people might be wondering where Grace Jabbari is now. Jonathan Majors‘s ex-girlfriend spoke out a day after the popular court case.

Actor Jonathan Majors was found guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and guilty of harassment against Jabbari, a British dancer and movement coach. He faces the possibility of a sentence of up to one year in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for February 6. On two other charges, he was found not guilty of intentional assault in the third degree and not guilty of aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Ross Kramer, an attorney for Jabbari, said they were “gratified” by the guilty verdict. “We are gratified to see justice served by today’s guilty verdict,” the statement read, per The Hollywood Reporter. “Ms. Jabbari testified publicly and truthfully, even though reliving these traumatic events on the witness stand was obviously painful. We are grateful to the jurors and the Judge for their attention and patience, and to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for their hard work and support.”

“Ms. Jabbari’s resolve to see this case through to the end demonstrates her tremendous strength and resilience. Unfortunately, for every survivor like Ms. Jabbari who comes forward to hold their abuser accountable, there are many others who believe that they cannot. We hope that her actions will inspire other survivors to speak their truth and seek justice,” Kramer’s statement added.

Majors was arrested Saturday morning March 25, 2023, in Manhattan, New York after a 911 call on suspicion of strangulation, assault, and harassment. The victim claims the defendant did “strike her about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear,” according to the Manhattan DA’s office.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries to her head and neck according to NYPD. She was in stable condition as of Sunday morning, March 26, 2023. That day, Majors was arraigned on several assault and harassment charges Sunday, the Manhattan DA’s office told CNN. On December 18, Majors’ guilty verdict was handed down by a six-person jury after around four hours of deliberation.

So where is Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari now?

    Where is Grace Jabbari now?

Grace Jabbari has her Instagram on private. However after the trial ended, she posted on her Instagram stories.

“For my birthday, if you want.. a donation to @sffny, a charity that helped me so much this year, would be the best gift you could give,” she wrote in an Instagram Story Tuesday, tagging Sanctuary for Families New York. “Thank you so much @sffny, and everyone else…For everything.”

Additionally, there was a graphic that read, “New Yorkers: Get help today. Leave abuse behind” along with several organizations and their phone numbers.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Majors is breaking his silence after his conviction in a new interview with ABC News. His sentencing is set for Feb. 6. He faces the possibility of up to a year in jail for the assault conviction, though probation or other non-jail sentences are also possible.

“I wish to God I knew. That would give clarity. That would give me some type of peace about it,” he said.

He claimed he has never hit a woman. “I’m an athlete. I’m a sportsman. I know my body. I know how it moves. I know my strength, or lack thereof, you know? None of that was employed on her,” he said.

In a statement, Jabbari’s lawyer Brittany Henderson said Majors continues to “take no accountability for his actions”.

She continued, “The timing of these new statements demonstrates a clear lack of remorse for the actions for which he was found guilty and should make the sentencing decisions fairly easy for the Court.”

Jonathan Majors Breaks His Silence After Assault Conviction: “I Was Reckless With Her Heart, Not With Her Body”

    [ad_1]

Less than a month after Jonathan Majors was found guilty on two charges—and not guilty on two others—in his domestic assault trial, the actor broke his silence on the verdict.

Speaking with ABC News’ Linsey Davis, Majors said he was “absolutely shocked and afraid” after being convicted on one count of reckless assault in the third degree and one count of harassment against his now ex-partner Grace Jabbari; he was acquitted on two other counts of intentional assault and aggravated harassment.

“I’m standing there and the verdict comes down,” Majors said. “I say, ‘How is that possible? Based off the evidence—based off the prosecution’s evidence, let alone our evidence—how is that possible?’” The verdict was split, and the actor said he plans to appeal.

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Majors, who did not testify at the trial, had pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment originating from an alleged domestic dispute with Jabbari last March. He was arrested on March 25 after his then girlfriend was taken to a hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck,” the NYPD said in a statement. Prosecutors said Jabbari was riding in the back of a vehicle with Majors when she grabbed his phone from him after seeing a text message that said, “Wish I was kissing you right now,” sent by a woman listed in the actor’s phone as “Cleopatra.”

In his latest interview, Majors maintained that he was not responsible for Jabbari’s injuries, which included a fractured finger and cut behind her ear. “You’re confident you didn’t cause them?” Davis asked, to which Majors replied: “I have no question.” When asked how Jabbari got injured if not by him, he responded, “I wish to God I knew. That would give clarity, that would give me some type of peace about it.”

Majors, who met Jabbari while she was working as a movement coach on the set of his film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, asserted that their relationship was “not healthy” and that he should have “been brave” and “walked away.” He continued, “I was reckless with her heart, not with her body,” later adding, “My hands have never struck a woman, ever.”

2023 was another Golden Corral buffet of premium shenanigans from Pound Town to Montgomery, Alabama where Ancestrally-Charged African-American Avengers dragged anglo-aggressors into the alabaster abyss during the now-infamous “Fade In The Water.”

There was chair-swangin’ and pain-brangin’ everywhere during the chaotic scene that immediately blew up the whole entire internet.

Easily the greatest moment of 2023, the now-infamous “Riverboat Rumble” stirred up HILARIOUS jokes, memes, and commentary in yet another example of Black Twitter being the epicenter of entertainment.

It was a year of SkeeYees, super freaky pop-pops, shiny Renaissance fabrics, and the hoaxiest hoax of all hoaxes committed by Cheez-It-dusted viral villain Carlee Russell.

    Carlee Russell

    Source: Hoover Police Department

After days of confusion and public scrutiny, Russell admitted that she was not abducted after “stopping to check on a baby walking alone.”

There was no baby on Alabama’s Interstate I459 and the entire thing was described as an “elaborate” hoax

Russell’s attorney, Emory Anthony, sent a statement to Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis confirming that her kidnapping was a farce.

“Dear Chief Derzis, my client has given me permission to make the following statement on her behalf: There was no kidnapping on July 13, 2023. My client did not see a baby on the side of the road. My client did not leave the Hoover area when she was identified as a missing person. My client did not have any help in this incident, but this was a single act done by herself,’’ Anthony wrote according to AL.com.

Russell was eventually found guilty of two misdemeanor crimes, false reporting to law enforcement authorities, and falsely reporting an incident with the judge recommending that she pay $18,000 in restitution and spend six months in jail per charge for a total of one year.

Overall, 2023 was a charcuterie platter of WTFery with Kelis (reportedly) bringing her milkshake to Bill Murray‘s yard, krusty Karens Karening around town, and Jada Pinkett Smith telling ALL of her business (EVERY BIT OF IT) to anyone who would listen.

Marvel Just Dropped Actor Jonathan Majors After He Was Convicted of Assault | Entrepreneur

    [ad_1]

Marvel and The Walt Disney Company have dropped up-and-coming star Jonathan Majors from all current and future projects. The decision came just hours after a Manhattan court found Majors guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend earlier today.

Majors’ career was poised for major stardom after appearing as villain Kang the Conquerer in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” According to the Los Angeles Times, Marvel had slated him to play a lead role in a 2026 film, “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.”

But now his future in Hollywood is questionable after a New York jury convicted the 34-year-old of one misdemeanor assault charge and one harassment violation. He was acquitted of a separate assault charge and aggravated harassment.

The judge asked Majors to stand and face the jurors as the verdict was read. He showed “no immediate reaction, looking slightly downward, and declined to comment as he left the courthouse,” according to the Associated Press.

    Assault in SUV

The incident occurred last March when Majors was accused of attacking his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in a chauffeured SUV. Jabbari, a British dancer, said Majors hit her in the head, twisted her arm behind her back, and squeezed her middle finger until it fractured. Prosecutors said the confrontation left her in “excruciating” pain.

But Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, argued that Jabbari was the aggressor in the relationship and made up the ordeal in the town car.

The jury did not agree, and now a promising young star faces an uncertain future.

“The evidence presented throughout this trial illustrated a cycle of psychological and emotional abuse, and escalating patterns of coercion far too common across the many intimate partner violence cases we see each and every day,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in a statement after the verdict.

Majors is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 6, 2024, and he faces up to a year in prison.

The Marvel bag has officially been fumbled

    Source: Lia Toby/Getty Images

Social media is ABLAZE over Jonathan Majors being dropped by Disney/Marvel Studios after being convicted of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment.

According to THR, the actor, 34, is officially out at Marvel after the conviction which puts the future of Majors’ character Kang The Conqueror–a major villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe–in jeopardy.

With new girlfriend Meagan Good sticking by his side, the verdict was delivered by the NewYork jury after about five hours and three days of deliberation.

Majors was found not guilty of another count of assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree. The four counts stem from an altercation with Majors’ ex-girlfriend and former Marvel co-worker Grace Jabbari. He faced up to a year behind bars for the misdemeanor charges.

“At the Manhattan D.A.’s Office, we are committed to centering survivors in all of our work. The evidence presented throughout this trial illustrated a cycle of psychological and emotional abuse, and escalating patterns of coercion far too common across the many intimate partner violence cases we see each and every day,” Bragg said.

“Today, a jury determined that pattern of abuse and coercion culminated with Mr. Majors assaulting and harassing his girlfriend. We thank the jury for its service and the survivor for bravely telling her story despite having to relive her trauma on the stand.”

Majors did not testify during the trial, denied all allegations against him and pleaded not guilty to the charges. Jabbari’s protective order against Majors remains in place ahead of the actor’s sentencing set for Feb. 6.

Naturally, social media exploded over the news that lead to an endless barrage of jokes, speculation, and debates across the multiverse.

Marvel Studios cutting ties with Jonathan Majors after guilty verdict

    02:22

NEW YORK — A Manhattan jury on Monday found actor Jonathan Majors guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

Jurors deliberated for about six hours over a span of three days, and poured over clashing narratives about what happened inside and outside an SUV on Canal Street on the night on March 25.

The jury sent several notes requesting to re-watch video evidence, have charges clarified and testimony read back, before finding Majors guilty on two of the four charges.

In the end, they determined Majors recklessly, but not intentionally, injured Jabbari and harassed her outside the SUV after the altercation.

Majors sat emotionless in court as the verdict was read. His family stayed silent after the verdict was handed down.

Majors, 34, is known for his roles in “Creed III” and Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” After the verdict, Marvel said the studio will not be moving forward with Majors.

Prosecutors said Majors assaulted Jabbari after she saw a romantic text from another woman on his phone and grabbed it.

Jurors saw photos of what doctors confirmed were Jabbari’s broken finger and lacerated ear. Jabbari said Majors inflicted those injuries on her in an effort to retrieve his phone.

Majors’ defense said Jabbari was the instigator and, “The only thing that broke in the back of the SUV was Grace’s heart.”

The defense showed video of Jabbari partying at Loosie’s Nightclub less than an hour later with strangers she met on the street, and played the 911 call Majors made when he couldn’t get in touch with Jabbari the next morning.

NYPD officers found Jabbari inside the closet of their Chelsea apartment. According to officers, she seemed delirious and was wearing only a shirt.

There was no video evidence inside the SUV, only testimony of the driver who described Jabbari as the aggressor.

The jury found there was enough evidence to convict Majors on two counts: reckless assault and harassment.

The judge set Majors’ sentencing for Feb. 6. and issued a new order of protection, barring him from any contact with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. He faces up to a year in prison.

Majors attended each day of the trial, but did not take the stand.

  • Marvel Drops Jonathan Majors After Assault, Harassment Verdict

Marvel Drops Jonathan Majors After Assault, Harassment Verdict

    [ad_1]

Jonathan Majors is out at Marvel Studios in a stunning career blow for the once-rising actor.

On Dec. 18, a Manhattan jury found Majors guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and guilty of harassment following a two-week trial that stemmed from a March incident between the actor and his ex-partner, Grace Jabbari.

Before his March arrest, Majors was positioned as the key figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the Disney-owned studio building its entire current story arc around Majors’ Kang the Conqueror. The time-traveling villain factored into this year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania as well as both seasons of Loki, and he was going to lead Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, slated for May 1, 2026. The feature is still in the script phase and had not begun filming. No director is currently attached.

Marvel has two courses it could take now. It could recast the part, although it is not clear how many actors would be attracted to a role from which one actor was so publicly fired. The other course is to redevelop its plans and refocus on a brand new villain. While Marvel sources are mum, there is indication that the studio has already been doing just that. In November, Marvel hired Loki creator Michael Waldron to work on a new draft of what was once called Kang Dynasty, but is now being referred to as Avengers 5, according to sources.

The studio has had months to plan for such an eventuality, and it’s possible that Waldon was part of that course correction.

Marvel has recast in the past, but over creative and financial disputes, not for legal troubles. Terrence Howard starred in the first Iron Man as James Rhodes, while Edward Norton headlined The Incredible Hulk, both released in 2008. Howard declined to return for the 2010 Iron Man sequel, citing pay reasons, and Don Cheadle stepped into the role. Norton, meanwhile, clashed creatively with Marvel on Incredible Hulk, and Mark Ruffalo stepped into the role for The Avengers (2012). And more recently, the late William Hurt was replaced by Harrison Ford in the upcoming Captain America: New World Order as Thunderbolt Ross.

Majors was once considered one of the top rising actors in Hollywood. In addition to Quantumania, he starred in Creed III in 2023. He first rose to prominence with The Last Black Man in San Francisco, and went on to star in Devotion, Lovecraft Country, The Harder They Fall and Da 5 Bloods. The body-building drama Magazine Dreams bowed at Sundance in January 2023, though its fate remains in limbo as distributor Searchlight removed it from the calendar amid the actor’s legal troubles.

Majors was arrested on March 25, after he called 911 saying he found his ex-partner, Grace Jabbari, in their New York apartment unconscious. Police said they found injuries on Jabbari, including a bruised and fractured finger and a cut behind an ear. Majors pled not guilty to all charges.

In the wake of his legal troubles, PR firm The Lede Company and his managers at Entertainment 360 dropped the actor. He is still repped by WME, but that could change in light of the verdict.
