The updates just keep coming in Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose’s nasty divorce… And the latest one claims the Australian singer tried to drive a major wedge between the father and his famous daughter!
Remember last month when reports were floating around that Firerose “blocked at least one” of Billy Ray’s daughters in an attempt to “isolate” him from his family? A lot of people had the sneaking suspicion the daughter in question was Miley, as Billy Ray was already rumored to have had a contentious relationship with… And a source is now pretty much confirming that suspicion.
In 2022, the Flowers singer made the bold move to unfollow her dad on Instagram. He also unfollowed her, but on Thursday, the insider told The US Sun that it was actually Firerose who pulled the strings on the unfollowing, which also included other celebs:
“The truth is that Firerose kept him from communicating with his family, and she took over his social media and unfollowed people that he was following like his daughters, Lil Nas X, and so many other people in his life.”
Yikes!
And according to the insider, Miley’s relationship with Billy Ray actually isn’t all that bad. They claimed:
“Billy Ray and Miley are on good terms and have been for a long time.”
The source did, however, note there was strain when Billy Ray grew estranged from the family amid his relationship with Firerose, but that she was the one who exacerbated the familial rift:
“Firerose sabotaged his relationship with his family, but real rift rumors were totally overblown.”
And apparently when Miley didn’t mention her poppa in her Grammys speech earlier this year, “she wasn’t dissing him, even though everyone wanted to take it that way.”
Inneresting…
We don’t know if we 100 percent buy into the claim that there’s no major rift between the father-daughter duo, ESPECIALLY after those atrocious audio recordings leaked of the Achy Breaky Heart singer RIPPING into not only Firerose, but Tish Cyrus, her two oldest kids Brandi and Trace. And the common belief is that his part about the devil being “a skank” was a jab at Miley… So, yeah. We don’t think Miley is the kind of person who would take that lightly.
Regarding said audio leaks, Firerose’s rep told the outlet:
“Billy Ray got caught red-handed. His ongoing smear campaign against Firerose is becoming ridiculous and exhausting. Firerose is the only party with tangible evidence of who the real toxic partner in this relationship was.”
His lawyer Rose Palermo, however, told the outlet that Firerose is trying to “litigate her case in the press,” defending his words by saying he was “vocally frustrated” in the recordings after finding out her “true motives for marrying him.”
This is all just a big s**t show. What are YOUR thoughts on this latest update?
Billy Ray Cyrus is digging into Firerose’s medical history amid their bitter divorce.
When news broke that the Achy Breaky Heart singer filed to divorce his much younger wife, there were several shocks — cheating rumors, fraud allegations. But perhaps the most brutal? Firerose, whose birth name is Johanna Rose Hodges, claimed it was ONE DAY before she was scheduled to go in for a double mastectomy.
According to her filing, she was diagnosed as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation in 2020 and after an MRI in March of this year, docs “highly recommended” she undergo a preventive double mastectomy. But in the weeks before Billy Ray filed to legally separate from her on May 23, things apparently got REALLY bad between the pair. From her filing at the time:
“When Wife would attempt to voice certain concerns, Husband would often call her a ‘selfish f**king bitch’ and continually alleged that she was using him. With Wife’s major surgery date looming, she was reasonably afraid to leave or seek any type of help because she feared that Husband would interfere with her surgery or her lengthy recovery at home.”
She claimed she ultimately had to cancel the operation as she was depending on him to pay for it. Horrible, if true. But… is it true??
It sounds like the Hannah Montana star is calling BS — and wants proof she even needed this alleged surgery!
On Thursday, The US Sun obtained legal docs revealing Billy Ray requested Firerose’s “complete file, including, but not limited to any and all medical records for Ms. Hodges that pertain to the BRCA1 gene; appointment notes; and scheduled operations and surgeries.”
Yikes! Is there reason for Billy Ray to ask other than that he just doesn’t believe Firerose’s claims?? Like maybe she never mentioned it until after the divorce filing? Just last week a judge granted his request to cut her off from using his credit cards — without his permission, after the breakup! So it’s not unreasonable for him to suggest she’s ripping him off, right? Maybe he just REALLY wants to make sure his money would be going to what she claims? His daughter Miley Cyrus seems to think she’s a fraud, so…

Billy Ray Cyrus has accused his estranged wife Firerose of physical, verbal and emotional abuse.
The allegations come about a week after Firerose accused the country singer of similar mistreatments in their heated divorce proceedings.
Cyrus, 62, submitted new court documents in Tennessee on Monday.
The Achy Breaky Heart singer “vehemently” denied Firerose’s allegations that Cyrus subjected her to “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse” during their nearly seven-month marriage.
Cyrus called the claims made by Firerose “mindboggling,” according to People Magazine, which obtained the court paperwork.
He filed to divorce Firerose, 36, on May 23, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct.
Firerose has denied any wrongdoing.

In her counter-complaint filed earlier this month, Firerose (real name Johanna Rose Hodges) said Cyrus was “unpredictable and volatile” and has substance abuse issues. She said she felt unsafe while living with Cyrus and accused him of continuous “verbal assaults.”
Lawyers for Cyrus wrote the singer was “certainly vocal, frustrated and angry” with Firerose in the month before filing for divorce but was never abusive.
“It is the plaintiff who, in fact, has been abused,” Cyrus’s lawyers responded. “Not only verbally and emotionally by the Defendant, but PHYSICALLY abused by Defendant.”
Cyrus’s music manager, Scott Adkins, submitted an affidavit claiming he witnessed Firerose abusing Cyrus.
According to ET News, Adkins said he saw Firerose “speak disrespectfully” and act “out of control towards Mr. Cyrus” in March, when Cyrus apparently received an invitation to perform Old Town Road with Nicki Minaj at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
Adkins said Firerose, who is also a country singer, became “defensive” over the opportunity offered to Cyrus and “inserted herself” into the situation. Adkins said Cyrus told him Firerose was “hitting” him but asked his manager not to call police.
An unnamed representative for Firerose called the abuse allegations against her “false” and said the affidavit should not be trusted because Adkins is on Cyrus’s “payroll,” and thereby not credible.

Cyrus also denied several of Firerose’s other allegations made in her counter-complaint, namely that he asked for a divorce because she required a preventive double mastectomy. Firerose told the court she was diagnosed as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation in 2020, which increases the risk of breast cancer.
Cyrus said Firerose had been aware of the diagnosis for years but did not share the information with him until they were married. He claimed Firerose threatened to ruin his career by telling the public he wanted to divorce her only days before her scheduled mastectomy.
The spokesperson for Firerose called Cyrus’s response about her double mastectomy a “cruel manipulation” of facts and slammed his “audacity to question a BRCA-positive women’s decision to undergo a preventative surgery.”
Lawyers for Cyrus have asked for “strict proof” of Firerose’s abuse allegations against him.

Firerose’s rep said Cyrus’s “story keeps evolving and this filing is simply another abusive tactic to distract away from the serious, true allegations brought against him, backed by an abundance of evidence.”
“What Billy Ray fails to recognize is when you have a decades-long history of emotional and psychological abuse, people start to take notice. The truth will come to light,” the statement concluded.
Since filing for divorce on May 22, Cyrus has accused Firerose of making 37 unauthorized charges on his credit cards, totalling about US$97,000 (about C$133,000).
Cyrus is seeking to annul the marriage on the grounds of fraud, the exact details of which are unclear.
He was previously married to Tish Cyrus, though the couple divorced in April 2022 after 28 years of marriage. Together, they share five children: daughters Miley, Noah and Brandi, and sons Trace (who, like Brandi, was adopted by Cyrus) and Braison.

Cyrus also has one other child with his ex-girlfriend Kristen Luckey, son Christopher Cody. He was earlier married to Cindy Smith from 1986 until 1991, making Firerose his third wife.

Singer Firerose has accused her estranged husband Billy Ray Cyrus of “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse.”
Cyrus, who filed to divorce Firerose (real name Johanna Rose Hodges) on May 22, separately accused her of attempting to “isolate” him from at least one of his daughters.
Firerose, 36, filed her counter-complaint against Cyrus, 62, on June 14. In the court documents, obtained by People magazine, Firerose called Cyrus “unpredictable and volatile” and alleged the Achy Breaky Heart singer has substance abuse issues.
Her lawyers wrote in the complaint that Cyrus’ “persistent drug use accompanied with the consumption of marijuana” made her feel unsafe in the Tennessee home where they lived together.
She said in the weeks leading up to Cyrus’ divorce filing, he trapped her “into an emotional and psychological prison” and “continuously launched verbal assaults.”

In a statement, Cyrus’ lawyers said Firerose’s allegations “left Mr. Cyrus with no recourse but to set the record straight.”
Cyrus’ lawyers said he was “defrauded in his inducement to marry Ms. Hodges,” a claim he already made in his initial divorce filing.
The lawyers said Firerose’s counter-complaint is “especially confusing and suspicious in its veracity since she begged Mr. Cyrus to forgive her and take her back only 2 days after he filed his pleadings to dissolve his marriage.”
They provided entertainment publication US Weekly with a handwritten note, allegedly penned by Firerose, asking Cyrus to “work it out” together. The lawyers also shared a text they claim was sent by Firerose to Cyrus that insisted she did not want to “live without” him and was “praying with my entire soul that we find each other again.”

“If Mr. Cyrus was truly guilty of the allegations that Ms. Hodges alleges in her pleadings, then it is mind-boggling to try and explain why she would want to return to live with him,” the lawyers wrote in their statement. “Furthermore, she was pleading with him to give her a chance to explain everything to him.”
In her counter-complaint, Firerose also accused Cyrus of filing for divorce only two days before she was scheduled to undergo a preventative double mastectomy on May 24. Firerose was diagnosed as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation in 2020, which has increased risks of several cancers, according to the complaint.
Firerose has since postponed the surgery. She told the court Cyrus paid for her health insurance and that he said he would cover any additional costs, though he “has now repudiated that promise.”

The court filing also alleges Cyrus’ brother and sister-in-law entered the home where he lived with Firerose and tried to force her to move out. The document claims they banged at her bedroom door for three-and-a-half hours in an attempt to get her to vacate.
Firerose, who has requested alimony, has since moved out of the residence.
She said Cyrus had a “direct hand” in restricting her “access to income and future opportunities.”
Billy Ray Cyrus says Firerose ‘isolated’ him from his family
Cyrus filed an amendment to his initial divorce complaint on June 17, in which he alleges Firerose was “conducting a campaign to isolate” him from at least one of his daughters.
He said the isolation began in May, after Cyrus filed for divorce, as reported by People.
The country singer has three daughters, Miley and Noah Cyrus, who he shares with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus, as well as his oldest daughter Brandi Cyrus, who is Tish’s daughter from a previous relationship and was adopted by Cyrus.
Cyrus told the court Firerose “blocked” communication from at least one of his daughters, who had been trying to reach him through phone calls or on his electronic devices.

(It is not clear which daughter, or daughters, Cyrus is referring to.)
Some fans of the Cyrus family have speculated there is an ongoing rift between Cyrus and his daughter Miley, who noticeably did not mention him in her Grammy acceptance speech in February. Though the father and daughter have never publicly confirmed the state of their relationship, Miley told David Letterman this month that she inherited “narcissism” from her father.
Billy Ray Cyrus accused Firerose of blocking contact from at least one of his three daughters.
Cyrus is seeking a temporary restraining order against Firerose.
He claimed that after he submitted the divorce filing, Firerose used his business credit card to make 37 unauthorized purchases totalling about US$97,000 (about C$133,000). Cyrus’ temporary restraining order would make it so that Firerose cannot access his cards. He requested to be reimbursed for the 37 charges.

Firerose’s lawyer submitted a court response to Cyrus’ amendment and said the allegations about unauthorized charges are “untrue.”
“Throughout the divorce proceedings, the parties are to live as per the status quo during the marriage,” the response reads. “Wife was simply living as she has since October 10, 2023, and Husband has no right to cut her off.”
Cyrus’ amendment also accused Firerose of lying about being married twice before and of lying about her surname. He told the court Firerose was using the Cyrus last name to further her own music and entertainment career.
Firerose herself has not commented publicly on the new allegations made in the ongoing divorce proceedings.
The couple married in October 2023. Their divorce came seven months after tying the knot, with Cyrus citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as reason for the separation.
In her counter-complaint, Firerose denied any inappropriate marital conduct.
Cyrus told the court he is also seeking to annul the marriage on the grounds of fraud, the exact details of which are unclear.
