A performer of Britain’s Got Talent 2024 finalists Ssaulabi Performance Troupe has shared a picture of his catastrophic injury days after sustaining it during the BGT’s finale.

The performer suffered damage to his foot after landing badly following a collision with a co-star live on air.

Despite the accident, Ssaulabi Performance Troupe continued to wow judges and fans with their incredible performative Taekwondo.

ITV confirmed to The Sun after the final that the performer had been injured and taken to hospital.

A statement said: “He was quickly seen by our onsite medical team before going to hospital for further treatment. All at BGT wish him a speedy recovery.”

    Who are Ssaulabi Performance Troupe?

The Ssaulabi Performance Troupe are a team of talented Taekwondo performers from South Korea, the home of said martial art.

The team’s impressive routines fused the martial art with phenomenal acrobatic skill. They performed high kicks, big jumps and somersaults to an amazed audience, all while smashing wooden planks into pieces.

Their Britain’s Got Talent 2024 audition was so memorable that it prompted backstage presenters Ant and Dec to press their Golden Buzzer, sending the act straight through to the semi-finals. Judge Bruno Tonioli said: “The power, the beauty, the artistry it blows everything else I’ve seen out of the water.”

The judges heaped further praise on the troupe during the semi-finals, as they won the judges’ vote and progressed to the final. Simon Cowell said their performance was “one of the best live show performances I’ve ever seen on this show”.

Despite the devastating injury, the group continued through to the end of their final performance. They eventually placed tenth in the series.

The Britain’s Got Talent 2024 final airs tonight and bookies have already predicted who will walk away as the winner.

Tonight’s show (June 2) will see a variety of talent take to the stage in the hope of becoming the winner. Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli will judge the final performances.

Ladbrokes have predicted that singer Sydnie Christmas will win tonight. Odds are placed at 2/5 for her to be crowned the champion.

Comedian Alex Mitchell is next with odds placed at 4/2 while dancing duo Abigail & Afronitaa are at 7/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told OK!: “We’ve seen some sensational acts along the way, but it all boils down to tonight’s final, where the odds suggest it’s going to take something pretty special to stop Sydnie Christmas from winning the series.”

This week, 28-year-old singer Sydnie wowed audiences with her rendition of Frank Sinatra’s My Way in the semi-final.

However, following her performance, Sydnie hit back at ‘fix’ allegations after some people claimed her theatre experience gave her an unfair advantage.

She has sung on cruise ships, including the Royal Caribbean International, where she starred as Rizzo in the musical Grease. However, she insisted she hasn’t yet made it to the West End stage.

In a behind-the-scenes clip ahead of her semi-final performance, Sydnie said: “My entire life, I’ve been trying to be on the West End stage. Getting to the final would be a massive thing. I’d like to think all the knockbacks have led to this one moment.”

My entire life, I’ve been trying to be on the West End stage.

BGT 2024 fans were not too happy with Simon Cowell over his behaviour towards a semi-finalist.

The ITV show returned to screens for the fourth semi-final on Thursday (May 30). And one act hoping to impress the judges, and the nation, to bag a spot in the final was Andrew Curphey.

However, things took an awkward turn when Simon pressed the red buzzer – and fans were left up in arms about it.

Andrew, a drama teacher from Cheshire, put on a jaw-dropping performance at the start of the BGT 2023. Wearing a dazzling gold suit, he sang a medley of iconic disco tunes including I’m Still Standing and We Are Family.

But it didn’t take long for Simon to press his red buzzer halfway through. And it’s fair to say fans were left raging at their screens over his decision.

Rushing to X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Seriously Simon? NO NEED TO RED HIM!.”

Extremely rude of little Simon Coward to buzz

Someone else added: “Why put him through to the semi-final if you’re going to buzz him. It’s just not fair on the performers.” Another chimed in and agreed: “Well that was awkward.”

A fourth echoed their thoughts, and said: “Extremely rude of little Simon Coward to buzz anyone who has been put through by the judges!”

Simon says ‘the singing wasn’t great’

After his performance, Andrew heard what the judges thought. Simon explained: “Andrew, I really like you – as a game show host. Honestly, I’m not kidding! I think you would be brilliant, you’ve got a great personality, you’re really funny.”

I’m trying to be constructive! The singing wasn’t great

The audience then booed Simon’s comments, he went on: “I’m trying to be constructive! The singing wasn’t great.”

What did the other judges say?

Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli then cut in to stand up and tell Andrew his act was “big, loud and proud.” He added: “You know how to get a party started, you had everybody on their feet… so entertaining!”

Andrew’s performance went down a treat with Amanda Holden too.  She agreed and said: “You were a fantastic ball of energy to open the show

    [ad_1]

K-pop band Blitzers were the second act to take to the stage tonight (Tuesday May 28) in the second BGT semi-final of the series.

The boyband, originating from South Korea, have spoken of their dreams of achieving worldwide fame and certainly won over the Britain’s Got Talent judges with their audition performance of Shawn Mendes’s There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.

Tonight they blew Simon, Alesha, Bruno and Amanda away yet again with another energetic performance of WAR*HALL’s ‘Bring That Fire’. However it seems some ITV viewers at home were less convinced, with many taking to Twitter to make the same shocking accusation.

    BGT viewers suspicious of Blitzers

“Blitzers miming on BGT.” One person tweeted.

Another agreed and speculated: “They have to be lip-syncing, they’re moving round so much and nobody sounds out of breath or breathing into the mic?”

A third also said: “What in the auto-tune lip-sync battle is this?”

“Sounded like they were miming.” Somebody else tweeted.

Blitzers have already found themselves under scrutiny from show audiences this week, with many complaining that the band, who have already made a name for themselves in South Korea, have an unfair advantage.

Elsewhere tonight, Amanda was close to tears over a moving performance from 8-year-old Ravi and his “Dream Team” choir. The audience were also treated to another baffling trick from magician Jack Rhodes.

BGT viewers slam ‘creepy’ Bikoon act as Simon Cowell bemused in first semi-final: ‘Uncomfortable watching this’

    [ad_1]

BGT viewers tonight (Monday May 27) had a very mixed reaction to Bikoon, leaving Simon Cowell bewildered.

The variety act had a memorable route to this week’s semi-finals, wowing fans during auditions with a magic bag routine.

But after the ‘secret’ behind the performance was revealed, some of those watching at home expressed concern – claiming the act was “creepy”.

Jokes were made about Bikoon being similar to Ant and Dec (Credit: ITV)

    BGT tonight: Bikoon news

At the end of tonight’s performance, with Simon the only judge not to have buzzed Bikoon off, it was revealed a shorter person was in the bag.

Some users on social media had speculated a young child may have been inside – or even a dog.

But when the second performer stepped out of the bag, fans seemed disappointed. There were even online ponderings about whether the ‘trick’ had been dangerous.

Simon however, who looked crestfallen after the reveal, didn’t seem to understand why Bikoon had exposed how their bag act.

    How viewers reacted

Amid complaints and speculation on social media about the safety implications of Bikoon’s performance, one person wrote on Instagram: “Uncomfortable watching this.”

Another claimed: “Gave me the creeps.”

    Gave me the creeps.

And a third moaned: “He got far too much airtime and I think it was cruel and dangerous to have somebody in a bag like that.”

    ‘Unbridled chaos’

And while Bikoon proved divisive with viewers, some people didn’t know what to make of the unconventional act.

“I’m lost for words. This is unbridled chaos with this bag,” one observer tweeted.

“It was still entertaining and at one point I was actually happy the bag went through the hoop. It was a good effort Bikoon! But the cat’s out of the bag (or rather the man) @BGT #BGT.”

Someone else chuckled: “Everyone talking about it being dangerous and the judges being disappointed about the person in the bag but like… what did you guys think was in the bag?”

Separately, and not in response, another user wrote: “I thought it was a dog in the bag.”

Others, however, knew they weren’t impressed.

“This was dreadful. How they put him through to this stage, is beyond me. Utter Nonsense,” fumed one viewer.

And another said: “Criminal that they got a semi-final place!”

The semi-finals will be as far as Bikoon get in 2024 on BGT. Boos could be heard from the live audience as Ant and Dec confirmed they would not be progressing to the next stage. Innocent Masuku and Ssaulabi Performance Troupe were voted through to Sunday’s final.

BGT 2024 viewers were not too happy as Bobby Goldfinn returned to audition for a fourth time.

The hit ITV show returned to screens on Sunday night (May 26) for the final lot of auditions for this year’s series. Judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli were all on hand to try and find the superstar from the UK.

But near the end of the programme, comedian Bobby Goldfinn made his return – and fans w were not too impressed.

Bobby Goldfinn auditions on BGT 2024 again

Comedian Bobby Goldfinn, who wears a goldfish mask, auditioned for the first time on BGT last month. He attempted to tell jokes – but forgot the punchline as he has a memory of a goldfish.

Not impressed, all four judges pressed their red buzzers – but the act returned a further two more times to audition. Each time, he forgot the punchline. And even hosts Ant and Dec had to escort him off stage.

But during the final lot of auditions on Sunday (May 26) Bobby was back – much to the shock of the judges.

What, is he really performing again?

As he walked on stage Simon quipped: “We’ve already seen him.” While Amanda dropped a swear word that was bleeped out after she saw Bobby.

Performing a knock-knock joke, Alesha said: “What, is he really performing again?” And much like his previous auditions, he failed to tell the joke correctly – with all four judges pressing their buzzer.

And it’s fair to say Bobby’s return got plenty of BGT fans riled up. Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “[Expletive] sake, not that fish again.” A second chimed in and added: “Why is the fish back? I hate this thing! So annoying!”

Great to see Bobby Goldfinn back on tonight. Very funny guy

However, other fans were over the moon to see Bobby back. One fan wrote: “OMG GIVE BOBBY A GOLDEN BUZZER.” Someone else added: “Great to see Bobby Goldfinn back on tonight. Very funny guy.” A third proclaimed: “BOBBY GOLDFIN!!!!!”

BGT viewers bewildered as Simon Cowell smashes his Golden Buzzer for Japanese act: ‘Not worthy’

    [ad_1]

BGT viewers couldn’t believe what they were watching as judge Simon Cowell hit his Golden Buzzer button tonight (Saturday April 27).

Simon awarded the second bye to the final of the 2024 series so far, which is only three episodes in. Fellow judge Amanda Holden smashed her Buzzer last weekend to send singer Sydnie Christmas through to the last stage of the ITV talent show.

However, some social media users were peeved by the act Simon selected. Detractors claimed Japanese dance troupe CyberAgent Legit weren’t “worthy” of the Buzzer. And other fans of the programme felt another act should’ve been the recipients instead.

BGT Golden Buzzer: Simon Cowell’s pick goes to CyberAgent Legit

“Wait how did this dance act get the Golden Buzzer over the choir?! #BGT poor choice,” one incredulous fan asked, referring to Northants Sings Out.

“The choir was way better than that to me. It was good but not quite Golden Buzzer worthy #BGT,” asserted someone else.

“They should have given the choir earlier the Golden Buzzer over these dancers #BGT,” somebody else insisted.

Sorry what? They got the Golden Buzzer but the choir didn’t?

And a fourth confused onlooker tweeted: “Sorry what? They got the Golden Buzzer but the choir didn’t? Not a huge fan of choirs on this show but they deserved it #BGT.”

Meanwhile, some others watching at home weren’t happy that Simon had plumped for an act that wasn’t British.

One user raged: “#BGT Apparently Britain hasn’t got talent according to #SimonCowell giving the #GoldenBuzzer to a dance troupe from Japan #ITV jokers!”.

Another complained: “#BRITAIN’S got talent? Yet Golden Buzzer is from Japan that’s never been here before. It’s silly now.”

And a third chipped in: “#BGT #BritainsGotTalent, not watching this no more, it is more like Japan’s Got Talent. That dance group was good but we have seen it all before.”

‘So in sync with each other’

However, amid those slamming Simon’s decision, CyberAgent Legit won plenty of admiring comments from viewers who were impressed.

“This Japanese dance team rocked! They got Simon and the audiences to go crazy. The audiences begged for the GOLDEN BUZZER!!! #BGT #CyberAgentLegit,” one wowed observer wrote.

And another tweeted: “Congratulations to CyberAgent Legit for receiving Simon’s Golden Buzzer. So in sync with each other it was amazing #BGT.”

Sharon Osbourne has hit back at Amanda Holden over comments made in a recent interview. And she’s pulled no punches!

After Amanda reportedly called Sharon and fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Louis Walsh “bitter and pathetic”, Mrs O has issued a statement in response.

Amanda’s comments about Sharon didn’t go down too well (Credit: Cover Images)

What did Amanda Holden say about Sharon Osbourne?

As quoted by MailOnline, Amanda said: “I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon – he’s the person who’s given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn’t have had.”

She continued: “It’s bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background – just stabby, stabby, stabby.”

However, Sharon is not known for staying quiet in the face of an attack and has now responded.

Sharon Osbourne issues response to Amanda Holden comments

In several lengthy statements posted to her Instagram and Twitter accounts, Sharon said she needed to respond to “factually incorrect” comments about herself.

“The truth is, Amanda, you don’t know me or my close friends. You know nothing about my history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I have worked with, the shows I have produced and my global celebrity. Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide. There are many countries I could work in if I choose to, however, I don’t have the ambition or time to do so.”

Sharon continued to explain her lifestyle was very different to Amanda’s, referencing her Beverly Hills mansion and country estate in the UK. She said she finds it “classless and crude” to discuss “money, lifestyles or positions of power”.

She then reflected that unfortunately Amanda had forced her hand, explaining: “My money and success were not due to doing a couple of Simon Cowell talent shows.”

Sharon insisted she enjoyed doing them and she was paid well. She then listed all of her achievements in the music industry prior to The X Factor.

    Simon Cowell ‘needed me’

“No disrespect to Simon Cowell, but he NEEDED ME for musical credibility on The X Factor.”

Sharon also said: “My husband is a music icon who has sold 170 million albums, won multiple Grammy Awards and is a Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductee… He has given me more than any man could, all of this before I ever knew who Simon Cowell was.”

She concluded that she had always thought Amanda to be “beautiful and talented”, but to “never make comments about my lifestyle” again. “It’s demeaning to me and my husband and all the achievements I have made in my life as you’re making yourself look like an ill-informed sycophantic.”

“I’m gonna frame this and pray to it every night,” said another. Someone else agreed: “Left no crumbs. Iconic.”

“And that is how you address something with class. I love you Sharon,” shared one more.

A fifth agreed: “Boom and that’s how it’s done with class. Don’t mess with Sharon she is a national treasure who we love.”

“I love how you always handle things like this with such grace, but also you burned her so bad. Love you, Sharon, you are an icon,” added another.
