Press Release

updated: Mar 3, 2017

Sylvan Learning Hawaii is excited to announce that it is offering a range of popular STEM camps this spring. Starting where the classroom leaves off, these fun-filled camps are a favorite for kindergarten-aged kids through eighth graders. These highly engaging classes pair students up with buddies to foster cooperative learning skills and challenge the buddy teams with a variety of hands-on projects to encourage creativity and imagination.

“Our STEM camps have always been incredibly popular with kids,” said George Naito, Sylvan Mililani owner. “The interesting curriculum, hands-on projects, and our great staff really make for an exceptional opportunity.”

The Spring STEM camps start in March, over spring break – March 20th – March 24th – and provide an excellent way to continue the academic momentum kids have established at school.  Camps are offered at the Kahala and Mililani Centers and also at Koko Head Elementary School and the Island Family Christian Church.

“There is nothing like robotics to bring the concepts of science, technology, engineering and math to life,” said Sam Kim, Sylvan Kahala owner, “especially when the kids are working with Lego® robots. Everyone who participates makes friends and has a blast.”

There are a limited number of places, so parents are urged to enroll now to reserve their children a spot. Two convenient times are available, a morning session and an afternoon session.
