Suzuki Philippines has expanded its scooter lineup with the launch of the Suzuki Burgman 15, introducing its first 150cc maxi scooter to the local market. Built around the brand’s “Intelligent Luxury” philosophy, the new model combines premium styling, advanced technology, rider comfort, and everyday practicality for urban commuters seeking a more refined riding experience.
The Burgman 15 made its Philippine debut at the Market! Market! Activity Center in Taguig, with Suzuki noting that the Philippines is the first ASEAN market to introduce the new scooter.
A new chapter for Suzuki scooters
Opening the launch event, Koichiro Hirao, president of Suzuki Philippines Inc., highlighted the company’s more than five decades of serving Filipino riders and explained that the Burgman 15 was developed in response to growing demand for a premium, higher-displacement scooter that combines performance, sophistication, and convenience.
“This is where we level up your riding experience. Let Suzuki innovate your journey with power, convenience, features, and sophistication—translating the true meaning of intelligent luxury,” Hirao said.
The unveiling was attended by Suzuki executives, including managing director and treasurer Norminio Mojica, manufacturing and engineering director Shinya Sano, general manager for manufacturing and engineering Noli Silvestre, general manager for finance and administration Catherine Magtibay, assistant to the division head for motorcycle sales and marketing Daigo Morikawa, general manager for after-sales service and marine Yukio Sato, assistant division head for motorcycle sales and marketing Erick Fernandez, and motorcycle marketing department head Cyril Aguadera, together with motorcycle personalities and content creators.
Premium design meets everyday performance
According to Suzuki, the Burgman 15 is designed to deliver premium urban mobility through a combination of sophisticated styling and rider-focused engineering.
The scooter features sleek aerodynamic bodywork, a signature triple LED headlight design, premium finishes, and proportions intended to provide a commanding road presence. During the public launch, attendees also had the opportunity to test ride the new model.
Power comes from a 150cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine producing 10.6kW and 14.2Nm of torque, paired with a claimed fuel efficiency of 43.6km/L. Suzuki says the combination is designed to deliver responsive acceleration, stable handling, and comfortable performance for both daily commuting and longer city rides.
Technology focused on comfort and safety
Beyond performance, the Burgman 15 introduces a wide range of rider assistance and convenience features.
Its safety technologies include a Traction Control System (TCS), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Side Stand Safety Switch, and an Engine Auto Stop-Start System. The scooter also uses a Twin Rear Suspension with Sub-Tank, designed to provide a more composed ride over uneven road surfaces.
For everyday usability, Suzuki has equipped the Burgman 15 with dual USB Type-C charging ports, including one with a cable pass-through for charging while riding. Other highlights include a keyless Intelligent Key System, full-color TFT instrument display, spacious riding position with flexible foot placement, premium seat, top box-ready rear carrier, anti-theft alarm with answer-back function, and full LED lighting with passing and hazard lights.
Launch event highlights
Visitors to the launch event were able to experience the Burgman 15 through public test rides while interacting with Suzuki ambassadors, motorcycle vloggers, and members of the Suzuki Club community.
Motorcycle creators including Motor ni Juan, Secretshop ni Klasmeyt, Ned Adriano Vlog, Ako si Kapwa, Hammer Man, Jawo Motovlog, and Rendon Labador participated in meet-and-greet sessions, rider discussions, games, and entertainment throughout the day, giving attendees a closer look at Suzuki’s newest premium scooter.
Pricing and availability
The Suzuki Burgman 15 is available in Pearlescent White with Metallic Matte Gold and Pearlescent Black with Metallic Matte Gray.
Priced at PHP165,000, Suzuki says the Burgman 15 is designed to set a new benchmark for premium scooters in the 150cc segment by combining intelligent technology, comfort, and everyday functionality in one package.
