A source told TMZ that “Stephen was not experiencing any sort of financial hardship in the time leading up to his suicide.”

Law enforcement sources added that “no one from the family has mentioned any sort of financial issues with Stephen.”

Scandal actor Columbus Short, who reportedly knew tWitch from the dance world, is among those who spread the theory online. He is getting a lot of backlash from sharing the theory.

“What if you invested something that took your whole life savings, possibly? … It gets rough,” Columbus said in a video.

A source told The New York Post that “there is absolutely no truth” to Columbus‘ claims.

tWitch‘s official cause of death was confirmed after the case was closed by the medical examiner.
