J. Cole is trending on social media for several reasons after dropping his surprise album “Might Delete Later.

One of J. Cole‘s lyrics in the track “Pi” has caused some fans to accuse the rapper of being transphobic. In the lyrics, he disses an unnamed person by calling them transgender, which has caused controversy.

“They plead the fifth. I’m seeing hints of a trans fella. In cancel culture’s vicinity, he’s no killer, trust me. Beneath his chosen identity, there is still a p####, period,” he rapped.

Many social media users voiced criticism towards Cole for employing “trans” as a slur in his lyrics.
