Probably the only person of the Spice Girls who you are extremely likely to be reading about very often – the one and only Victoria Beckham.

While she’s not always active with the Spice Girls, the now-48-year-old doesn’t shy away from talking about or remembering her girl band past.

Nevertheless, she has made a name for herself in her own right through a series of reality television show appearances, books, and her fashion label.

Notably, Beckham is married to footballer David Beckham, with whom she has been since 1997. In addition to four children – Brooklyn Beckham, born in 1999, Romeo Beckham, born in 2002, Cruz Beckham, born in 2005, and Harper Seven Beckham, born in 2011 – the fruits of her marriage include 15 engagement rings, estimated to be worth over $59 million.

Over the years, Beckham has been at the centre of multiple kidnapping plots, and terrifyingly, one plan included a strategy to kidnap Brooklyn.

It was in January 2000 when London’s Scotland Yard received a tip-off that exposed a plan to kidnap both Beckham, then roughly 26, and baby Brooklyn, then roughly one, and hold them hostage in a house in Hampstead in London, and in response, the Beckham family were moved to a secret and secure location. No arrests were made.

Two months later, Beckham received a death threat just before performing at the Brit Awards with the Spice Girls, and when the group were rehearsing for the show, a red laser appeared on her chest, implying a sniper weapon. Beckham was then rushed off the stage, and afterwards, a fire door at the venue was found to have been lodged open, which led to the belief an assassin had been there.

Over a year later in November 2002, five people were arrested regarding another plot to kidnap Beckham after it was exposed by a tabloid newspaper, but all charges were dropped as a witness was deemed unreliable.

Recently, however, the Beckhams revealed another stalker had tried to take Harper from school.
