Kyle Richards‘ husband, Mauricio Umansky, is weighing in on her ongoing feud with Kathy Hilton.

Following a dramatic 12th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which saw the sisters suffering a falling out that was prompted by claims Lisa Rinna made against Kathy, including Kathy’s alleged threats against Kyle and her family, Mauricio expressed frustrations as Kyle’s oldest daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, also spoke out.

“It was really hard [to watch],” Mauricio told Us Weekly of Kyle and Kathy’s drama on October 28. “I know a lot of the stuff that’s going on in the background, which isn’t exactly what’s being put out there. … Being supportive of Kyle, I think Kyle’s a hundred percent in the right here without question.”

According to Mauricio, he doesn’t like how the strained relationship between Kyle and Kathy has been portrayed on RHOBH. In fact, he thinks it’s “sad.”

“I think that it’s sad the way it’s being portrayed, the way it’s being received, and what’s going on. But Kyle’s so strong, and she’s such a good person that she’s not even out there really trying to defend herself too much,” he noted. “She’s just taking it in the chin, like the strong person that she is.”

During their appearances at BravoCon earlier this month, Kyle and Kathy both spoke of their lingering tensions, with Kyle saying she loves her sister and doesn’t want to fight and Kathy telling Us Weekly that “nobody’s going to come between us.”

A short time later, the sisters came together to plan Kim Richards’ daughter Brooke Wiederhorn’s baby shower, although Kyle ultimately skipped the event.

Also, during Mauricio’s interview with Us Weekly, Farrah shared sentiments about her mother and aunt’s feud, noting that she and her cousins do their best to”keep it separate as much as possible.”

“We are very close, so we try not to get involved in their stuff, but, you know, I always will have my mom’s back,” Farrah stated.

While RHOBH season 12 came to an end on Wednesday, Mauricio and Farrah will be back on the small screen next week in Netflix’s Buying Beverly Hills, which features realtors working out of Mauricio’s real estate firm, The Agency.

“I’m sitting here watching all the other real estate shows [and] I’m watching what they’re delivering on,” Mauricio said of the docuseries. “I think that there’s a great opportunity for another real estate show to deliver on a different angle than what’s out there, and I just thought it would be a lot of fun. I also wanted to take that approach that we have taken, which is watching young professionals and grow in their careers.”

Buying Beverly Hills begins streaming on Netflix on November 4.
