Lachy Gillespie has tied the knot with his fiancée, Australian Ballet dancer Dana Stephensen with their twin daughters, Lottie and Lulu, by their side as well as Stephensen’s son, Jasper.

“Our little world – our colours,” The Wiggles star captioned a photo of their big day on Instagram. “At the start of our relationship and only after meeting Jasper twice, one night while @dana_stephensen was putting him to bed he looked up and said ‘mummy, your colours have changed!’ 💜 He was three at the time and ever since that beautiful moment, our little family has had a rainbow colour theme running through everything we do 🌈.”

The couple first sparked wedding rumours on Saturday after they shared a series of professional photos on social media showing Stephensen in a full-length white dress and Gillespie, 37, in a suit with a flower pinned to his lapel as they posed outdoors.

“Always, always, always. Ever, ever, ever,” the ballerina captioned the post.

Gillespie and Stephensen welcomed twin daughters Lulu and Lottie in September 2020 and announced their engagement in April that year, after Stephensen popped the question in their home on what would have been Gillespie fourth wedding anniversary to ex-wife Emma Watkins.

“On Thursday night, Dana asked me to marry her at home under a fairy light sky and a very excited little boy in a beautiful bow tie,” Gillespie wrote on Instagram.

Gillespie married Watkins on April 9, 2016 after they met during auditions for children’s program Dorothy the Dinosaur in 2012. They split in August 2018 and Watkins remarried in May this year, tying the knot with musician Oliver Brian.

After fan comments on the date, Stephensen followed with her own announcement on Instagram, revealing Gillespie was actually the first to pop “the special question”, but she also wanted the opportunity to do so.

“It was something very meaningful for us to both have the opportunity to propose to one another, each in our own way,” she wrote.

“Last week, with the most beautiful (and excited!) little boy by my side in a special bow tie, it was our time to ask Lachy our special question — and it was so, so wonderful.”

Stephensen has a son, Jasper, from a previous relationship.

Gillespie and Stephensen met in recent years when The Australian Ballet began recording a DVD with The Wiggles.
