LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix is introducing its own Music City Miracle, by offering a Tennessee inspired makeover for their popular chicken tenders.
The supermarket unveiled their Publix Deli Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, which will be available from April until June.
“We’ve heard from many people in the Nashville area,” said Audrey Peace, Hot Prepared Foods Category Manager at Publix. “They said we really nailed the flavor.”
MAKING A NEW FAVORITE SANDWICH
Publix takes its already famous tenders are already marinated, breaded, and fried in store. However, the newest variety features a sauce loaded with garlic, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar. Throw it between two slices of King’s Hawaiian bread and add some pickles for a final coup de grâce.
“No one can say it isn’t spicy,” Audrey laughed.
Late last year, Publix slid into the Nashville hot chicken game by offering the item in just a tender variety. You can still purchase the tenders separately, or build your sandwich to your liking with your sandwich artists.
