• Stand up comedian Nate Bargatze makes his hosting debut on SNL tonight.
• The “clean” comedian might seem under the radar to a mainstream audience but he’s been nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Album twice (in 2014 and 2021), was called “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up” by The Atlantic, and performed to an audience of over 19,000 people at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena earlier this year.
• This will be Foo Fighters ninth appearance on the show, and they’re now tied with Paul Simon as the musical act with the most appearances on the show. This will be the band’s first appearance since November 2020, and the first without Taylor Hawkins who passed away in March 2022. SNL paid tribute to Hawkins on their April 2, 2022 episode (Jerrod Carmichael/Gunna).
• Bergatze was on Late Night to promote his appearance on SNL.
• SNL uploaded a behind the scenes video showing how the Telenovela sketch from last week came to be.
