Carlee Russell

Carlee Russell, who had been missing for just over two days, came home safe on Saturday night. The local emergency services were called around 10:45 p.m. when the 25-year-old nursing student got back to her parents’ home in Hoover.

Hoover’s Police Chief, Nick Derzis, said that Carlee came back to her parents’ home alone. She was then taken to the hospital by paramedics for a check-up.

It’s not known where Carlee was during the last two days. The police have said that they will share more details when they have them.

Before she went missing, it was known that Carlee was returning home from work on Thursday night. She had stopped to pick up dinner and noticed a young child on the highway. Carlee said she was stopping to see if she could help and called 911.

While on the phone with her brother’s girlfriend, Carlee reportedly screamed, and then the phone just picked up the sound of traffic.

Earlier on Saturday evening, the police had gone to a local motel because Carlee’s family claimed they had received a call from her saying she was there. But it doesn’t seem that Carlee was found at that point.

This whole situation started on Thursday when Carlee left her part-time job at the spa. She then went to Taziki’s restaurant at 9 p.m. to get dinner.

At 9:34 p.m., Carlee called the local emergency services. She told them that she had seen a toddler walking alone on the highway. After calling for help, Carlee stopped to check on the child and called a family member. The family member then lost contact with her.

The police found Carlee’s car, still running but empty, with some of her belongings nearby. But they didn’t find her or the child.

Carlee’s mother, Talitha Russell, said that Carlee was on the phone with her son’s girlfriend when she pulled over. She had seen a child who looked about 3 or 4 years old. She was heard asking the child if they were okay before she screamed.

According to Talitha, the car door was open and they found Carlee’s phone, wig, and hat on the ground. Her purse was still in the car and contained her Apple watch and Air Pods.

Talitha also mentioned a tip from a truck driver who saw a tall man leaning over a gray car. The police found tire tracks in the grass, but couldn’t tell what type of vehicle made them.
