Metallica Adds 24 Shows to Las Vegas Sphere Residency Through March 2027

Metallica will play 24 shows at the Las Vegas Sphere from October 2026 through March 2027 in their Life Burns Faster residency. This brings the total to 12 weekends of shows, with no repeated songs between Thursday and Saturday performances.

“This is it, we’re maxing out Life Burns Faster,” the band wrote. “Four more dates have been added to the run, bringing our upcoming Sphere residency to 24 shows.”

The M72 World Tour has drawn more than four million fans across Europe, North America, the Pacific Rim, and the Middle East since spring 2023. Past performances at Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High in June 2025 included songs like “Master of Puppets,” “Enter Sandman,” “Nothing Else Matters,” and “One” split across two nights.

The band taps Sphere’s immersive technology, which includes the world’s highest resolution LED display and multi-sensory 4D capabilities. Live Nation is producing the residency with presenting sponsor inKind.

A Full House Ticket grants entry to every show at Sphere in 2026. Travel packages and VIP experiences include meet and greets, onstage photo opportunities, the Black Box Experience, and Snake Pit access.

The band also plays two shows at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Nov. 19 and 21 to mark the venue’s 25th anniversary. Suicidal Tendencies and Spiritbox open those performances.
