A man from Massachusetts who won the lottery claimed his $4 million prize money with his furry, four-legged best friend on Tuesday, January 16.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Paul Riley won the second $4 million prize in the lottery’s “100X Cash” instant ticket game.

“Riley opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes),” Massachusetts State Lottery wrote.

They also shared that Riley, an animal lover, claimed his prize with his dog Raven. When claiming his prize money, Riley revealed that he plans to buy his wife a new car and donate some of his winnings to Animal Rescue League.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston has been helping animals in need since 1899. According to their website, they’ve been providing high-quality veterinary care, adoption, and even field services among other things.

ARL also “confronts the root causes of animal cruelty and neglect through special police investigation and advocacy aimed at strengthening the laws that protect animals.”

The Massachusetts State Lottery further reveals that the Peabody store where Riley purchased his winning ticket will receive a $40,000 bonus.

WGGB reports that another $4 million prize and six $1 million prizes in the lottery’s “100X Cash” ticket game have yet to be claimed.
