The Met Gala is already a highly eventful occasion, with celebrities doing their best to outdo each other with their intricate (and heavy) outfits.
Nobody felt the pressure more this year than Kendall Jenner, who shared that she had a bathroom emergency on the way to the event on the first Monday in May, courtesy of the ice bucket in her van.
The 27-year-old model revealed the behind-the-scenes events in the latest episode of The Kardashians.

Jenner memorably wore a two-piece black Prada gown, with a full-bodied skirt and long train to this year’s Met Gala, making it a task just to get into the van. She paired the frilled skirt with a sheer tank top paired with a fishnet crop top, and finished off the edgy look with bleached eyebrows.
She shared that once she finally managed to get into the car, she began to worry about being late, which triggered her anxiety.
“There’s no rhyme or reason, it just happens,” she shared.
Trying to calm herself down, she told her team she needed a sip of water and to go to the bathroom – an impossible feat in her dress.
Her team offered up the best solution they could – the innocuous ice bucket from the van.

The 818 Tequila founder called the experience “mortifying”, asking that “nobody judge (her)”, but her team reassured her it wasn’t weird at all, even joking about potentially selling it after her use.
Before she got about her business, she made a mass apology, including to Prada, before urinating in the bucket surrounded by her team.
But Jenner says she doesn’t regret it one bit.
“Best decision I ever made,” she commented later on the show, “Because I don’t know what I would have done when I got inside.”
