Hollywood’s newest “It” guy Jonathan Majors is ready to fully embody the role of Dennis Rodman in the forthcoming biopic.

Earlier this week, news broke that Majors would be taking on the life and career of the NBA icon. In a sit-down with the Associated Press, Majors confirmed the film was in the works and says he wants to meet the NBA All-Star and get to know him in hopes of fully engulfing himself in all things Rodman to bring the character to life.

“I never really put a ceiling on myself, but this is definitely a role where I’m definitely going to make sure I’m pushing that ceiling out. Because he demands that,” Majors shared.

The film will specifically focus on the infamous “48 in Vegas” incident, where Rodman went to the city for a mid-season break during his run with the Chicago Bulls. Though former head coach Phil Jackson approved, the events of that wild weekend could not have been predicted by anyone. That two-day break turned into four days of intense partying in the city with his girlfriend, Carmen Electra. Michael Jordan and Jackson would eventually go to the city personally to retrieve Rodman.

Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Aditya Sood will produce “48 Hours in Vegas” for Lord Miller, which will be presented by Lionsgate. The Jordan VanDina-written screenplay will be executive produced by Ari Lubet, Will Allegra, and Rodman.
