A man has been arrested for allegedly trying to steal John Legend‘s luxury sports car.

The Grammy-winning singer was reportedly inside an LA recording studio when an intruder allegedly forced his way inside his Porsche, which has a starting price of $US190,000 ($282,000).

The police department told TMZ that the singer’s car was parked outside the studio when the unidentified man approached the vehicle, opened the door and got inside, where he sat for a long while.

This isn’t the first Legend has found himself in the middle of an alleged robbery. Thankfully the last time in 2017, there was a misunderstanding when it was reported a man had allegedly stolen the All of Me singer’s bags from John F. Kennedy airport in New York after he travelled from Morocco with his wife, Chrissy Teigen.

Surveillance footage showed a man grabbing Legend’s bag after it was left unattended, but it was later discovered the man was simply returning it to the airport’s lost-and-found.

“This story is untrue,” Legend tweeted at the time. “We use a trusted car service and they did not rob me. Our Delta greeter made a mistake and left a bag on the cart. …The bag was taken because it was left unattended. The airport police caught the person who took it (on video) and retrieved my bag.”

“Thanks to the airport police/security. One could say it’s been ‘handled,'” he wrote in a follow-up tweet.
