Jay-Z Closing 40/40 Club in NYC for Relaunch at New Location – Baller Alert

On Wednesday, it was announced that Jay-Z was closing his 40/40 Club in Manhattan following its 20-year run.

According to Eater, the club closed its doors in late July with plans of reopening a new location that has yet to be revealed.

Andrea Thomas, a company representative, mentioned that the location will emerge at a different location next year, with additional details coming soon.

Previously, the club went under a $10 million renovation in 2012.

He told Rolling Stone, “I wanted to retain the feel of a clubhouse, a relaxed place to interact with friends.”

Currently, only two 40/40 Clubs are operational: an airport bar in Atlanta and a restaurant within Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
