Jason Kelce is dealing with a lot at the moment.
Because he’s an All-Pro center on the Philadelphia Eagles, a team with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations?
Yes.
But also because — in case you haven’t heard — his brother is dating the most famous musician on the planet.
Indeed, Jason is the sibling of Travis Kelce, the future Hall of Fame tight end who appears to legitimately be in a relationship with Taylor Swift.
The couple sort of confirmed as much a couple days ago by kissing for the first time on social media.
Swift has also attended four of Kelce’s professional football games, cheering wildly from a luxury suite, while the two have been seen holding hands on numerous occasions.
The two appear to be quite smitten with each other.
“It’s certainly been weird, the level that it is now,” Jason Kelce told NBC Sports on Sunday night.
“On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about, that he is genuine about.
“But there’s another end of it where it’s like, ‘Man, this is a lot.’”
Jason and Travis co-host a podcast… on which the latter has commented briefly here and there on what it’s been like to date Taylor Swift.
The Eagles star continued:
“There’s paparazzi talking about him fueling his car before the game today and I’m like, ‘Is that really necessary information to share?’”
No, of course not.
But it probably gets clicks.
“So, on one hand, really, really happy for my brother and where he’s at in his current situation with Taylor,” Jason said this week.
“But on the other hand, there’s some alarms sometimes with how over-in-pursuit people can be.”
It can be dangerous, that’s for sure.
Heck, Princess Diana was killed because reporters were trying to chase down her car back in 1997.
Jason did emphasize just how “happy” he is for Travis, who seems extremely happy himself these days.
“Overall, he can deal with some of this,” Jason added. “As long as it’s not, you know, becoming a threat to his safety and things like that.”
On Sunday, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs won their fourth game with Swift in attendance, prompting head coach Andy Reid to reference the pop sensation’s seemingly positive influence on his stud offensive player.
“Kelce is getting better with time,” Reid said during a press conference. “Taylor can stay around all she wants.”
