Rory McIlroy (born on May 4, 1989; age 34) is a Northern Irish professional golfer who went pro in 2007, currently plays on the PGA Tour and the European Tour, and has 38 professional wins under his belt. This year’s The Match will introduce its first-ever mixed skins format, with each hole valued at a certain amount for charity. The contest will still be a 12-hole match, but this time, all contestants will use the same tees for the four par-3 hole. The other eight holes will utilize varying tee boxes and yardages. The individual pro golfer who raises the most money for charity at the end of the event wins it all.

Capital One’s The Match Hosts

Six-time Emmy Award winner Ernie Johnson will host his fourth Capital One’s The Match event alongside Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkeley, who competed in and won The Match back in 2020 (Champions for Change). He was partnered with Phil Mickelson, and the duo beat Stephen Curry and Peyton Manning 4 and 3 in Oro Valley, Arizona. Barkley has served as an analyst and host for The Match in two past editions. Trevor Immelman will function as an analyst for the seventh time, and Kathryn Tappen will serve as a course reporter for the third time. Christina Kim will appear on The Match for her very first time, providing commentary. Additionally, American disc jockey, record producer, and record executive DJ Khaled and Canadian former NHL player Paul Bissonnette will chime in from time to time.
