Chris, along with other volunteers with Paw Squadron Rescue, responded to a call about a puppy crying amongst a heap of trash. He was tiny and concealed so well that the group almost left the area without him! Luckily they didn’t!

The rescuers pulled the puppy out, and he intensely shook. He was dehydrated and malnourished. Chris fed him some puppy food from his hand, then picked him up and put him inside the car. The puppy was so scared, but he finally fell asleep in Chris’s arms.

Once back at Chris’s house, it was time for a bath. Chris says he was one of the dirtiest puppies he’s ever rescued! The little one basked in the warm water and suds. Then, the clean puppy was put down to explore his new foster digs, and Chris filmed his first tail wags.

They went to the vet the next day who gave him a clean bill of health. The puppy, now named Thunder, had some minor issues, but the vet assured Chris they would heal on their own. What happens next for Thunder? You’ll have to play the video below to find out! Thank you, Paw Squadron Rescue, for saving Thunder’s life!
