Chris Rock is coming to Netflix, and he’s crossing off a “first-ever” moment with the streamer!

The 57-year-old comedian, who made headlines last year after getting slapped by Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars for telling a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, is set to go live with Netflix in the “first-ever Netflix live streamed global event.”

Chris Rock: Selective Outrage will stream live on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10 p.m. ET from Baltimore, Maryland, it was announced over the weekend, with additional details about the special still to come.

Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation. We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history,” said Netflix’s VP of Stand-up and Comedy Formats Robbie Praw in a statement.
