Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are headed to Disneyland! On Sunday, the team defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII.

Despite Mahomes suffering a right high ankle injury in the first half, the Chiefs came back from being down double digits to win. A holding penalty by Eagles cornerback James Bradberry allowed the Chiefs a chance at kicking a game-winning field goal. Harrison Butker nailed a 27-yard kick with 8 seconds left on the clock.

Mahomes, the game’s MVP, went 21 of 27 with 182 yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had a touchdown, six catches, and 81 yards in the win over his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Eagles quarterback had a phenomenal game in losing effort, going 27 of 37 and throwing for 304 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for three touchdowns, tying a Super Bowl record.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid could not contain his excitement after beating his former team. “I could kiss you right now, but I’m not going to,” Reid said to Fox sideline reporter Tom Rinaldi, who asked him how happy he was.

Reid coached the Eagles for 14 seasons before being let go and hired by the Chiefs. He even gave the Eagles a shoutout for their effort.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas was also excited about the Chiefs’ win, tweeting about the city’s plan for a victory parade. “LET’S HAVE A PARADE WEDNESDAY!!!” he tweeted.
