If anyone deserves a break when buying a home, it’s teachers. That’s why We Are Teachers is proud to partner with Teacher Next Door to tell educators about their program offering grants, down payment assistance, and other benefits. With rising home prices, inflation that makes dollars less valuable, and increasing interest rates, the dream of owning a home may seem out of reach for many. However, owning a home in your community can become a real possibility with the help of programs like Teacher Next Door! Teacher Next Door helps over 60,000 teachers per year purchase homes by offering grants up to $8,000 and down payment assistance up to $10,000. The best part? The Teacher Next Door Program is free to use!

If you’re a non-instructional school staff member, such as a custodian, office staff member, paraprofessional, or school nurse, head to the non-instructional staff program page to find program details specifically for you.
