Brittany Cartwright opened up about a text message she received from Tom Sandoval on the latest episode of her and Jax Taylor‘s podcast.
After welcoming Tom Schwartz to her show, the Vanderpump Rules alum detailed a message she got from Sandoval after his affair with Raquel Leviss was exposed as husband Jax reacted to the “tone deaf” message, accused his former friend of being selfish, and suggested Sandoval was having a “midlife crisis.”
After revealing that she and Sandoval hadn’t texted since she sent him a belated birthday message on July 8, 2020, on the June 7 episode of When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany, Brittany confirmed she received a message from Sandoval on Thursday, May 25.
“He texts me this: ‘Yo Brit, hope you’re doing well. Our band is playing in Louisville, Kentucky on 6/1. If any of your family or friends want to come to the show, just let me know, and I can put them on my list,’” Brittany revealed. “I was just so shocked that he texted me that. We hadn’t talked in so long. I’m obviously on [Ariana Madix]’s side about all this and I just like thought that was kinda crazy. Like, why would I want my family and friends to go to that?”
“It was just very bizarre to me,” she added.
And Jax was just as dumbfounded by Sandoval reaching out.
“If that doesn’t say tone deaf or selfishness, then I don’t know what does,” he said in response. “You texted my wife. Not even me. Do you honestly think my wife would be like, ‘Hold on, let me call my friends?’”
According to Jax, he believes Sandoval is “going through something.”
“He’s gotta be having a midlife crisis because nobody in this world acts like this,” he suspected.
Also, on Wednesday’s episode of their podcast, Schwartz accused Sandoval of exploiting him amid his months-long affair with Raquel and confirmed the two of them were taking a break from their friendship.
“He made a big mess, and he left it for us to clean up back at the businesses, and it’s hard for me not to be resentful. I’m taking a break from Tom right now. I haven’t seen him in a while,” Schwartz explained. “I really feel like he exploited me cuz I do love Tom, and I took to heart everything he told me about Ariana, and now that I’ve heard her side of the story… she has vehemently denied all of this stuff.”
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is expected to begin filming later this month.
