5, 4, 3, 2, 1.. Happy New Year!

With less than 48 hours until it’s time to bring in the New Year, I’m sure you’re looking for activities to get into. There are many different traditions to choose from whether you’re in New York City watching the notorious ball drop or popping the champagne, kissing your loved one at the strike of midnight. If you’re not sure what to choose from to make sure you start off 2024 in high spirits, we’ve got you covered.

Create New Year’s Resolutions – One of the most popular traditions to bring in the New Year. Bring in 2024 by setting new goals and aspirations for yourself to become a better you!

Eat Grapes – There’s a tradition to eat exactly 12 grapes at midnight and it will bring you luck for the upcoming year. Each grape represents one month of the year.

Throw A New Years Eve Party! – What’s a better way to have some fun while bringing in the New Year? Celebrate with your family and friends and welcome the prosperous year ahead.

Kiss At Midnight – If you have a special someone in your life, might as well share a little kiss. Legend has it that by sharing a kiss at midnight on New Years Eve will strengthen your bond with that person and bring you both good luck in your relationship.

Watch Fireworks – Light up your New Years! Ancient Romans believe if you celebrate your New Years happy and joyful, the rest of the year will follow in that same format.

Watch the Ball Drop – The New Years Eve ball drop tradition in Times Square has been a staple New Year’s activity since the early 1900s. Whether you’re in the streets of the city celebrating or watching from home, this tradition will certainly help you bring in your New Year in light and love.

Make A Toast – What’s bringing in a New Year without a drink? Cheers to 2024 raising a glass of bubbly with your loved ones.

Open Your Doors & Windows – This tradition, originating from the Philippines, is set to let out the old year and welcome the new. Though it might not be the warmest, depending on where you are, say goodbye to 2023 and welcome 2024!

Relax At Home – If going out is not your thing and you just want to relax at home to bring in the New Year, that is perfectly fine. Grab a glass of champagne, put on a New Year’s movie, and toast to 2024 in the comfort of your PJs.

Journal On The Past Year – Journaling is one of the simplest methods of therapy by getting one’s thoughts together. Whether you had a year full of ups, downs or a mix of both, take some time to journal, reflect and meditate on the past year.

Get Dressed Up – When you look good, you feel good! Throw on that pretty sparkly dress or your finest button down suit and take some flicks! Decorate your place with some New Year’s decor, capture the moment and create memories.
