Amelia Heinle, who co-starred with Billy Miller on The Young and the Restless, is remembering her acting partner following his death.

In a touching tribute that Heinle shared on Instagram, the soap star posted a quote from Miller from something he shared with her about his childhood.

“My favorite thing growing up was hiding out from the rain in our little barn with a tin roof on it, it’s still my favorite sound. Listening to it coming down and the way it gave me peace,” read the quote from 2010.

Heinle plays the role of Victoria Newman in the daytime soap, while Miller played the role of Billy Abbott. The fictional characters wed on Y&R the same year that Miller shared this memory with Heinle.

Miller died on Friday, September 15 after battling bipolar disorder.

The actor made his soap debut in 2007 playing the role of Richie Novak in All My Children, where he would remain until 2008. That same year, Miller booked the role of Billy Abbott in The Young and the Restless where he was a series regular until 2014.

While continuing his work on the CBS drama, Miller also booked roles in shows like Justified, Ringer, Castle and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

In 2014, Miller would move on to General Hospital where he would play the roles of Jason Morgan and Drew Cain.

Miller would continue booking recurring roles in shows like Suits, Ray Donovan and Truth Be Told. His last acting credit in television was in 2022 where he played the role of Ezra Moretti in an episode of NCIS titled “Unearth.”
