Banque Saudi Fransi’s digital head Grant Niven departs

Announcing his departure on LinkedIn, Niven says he is embarking on a “short sabbatical”, with his next appointment yet to be determined.

At Banque Saudi Fransi, Niven was responsible for developing and executing the bank’s company-wide “digital vision” and strategic initiatives.

He built, developed and led a team to deliver on this aim, launching new “ventures” leveraging digital technologies.

Niven was also responsible for defining the bank’s venture funding strategy and operating model, as well as its fintech partnership ecosystem.

Niven says: “Over the last three amazing years I’ve had the absolute pleasure to work at Banque Saudi Fransi, leading the charge in supporting Mike Cunningham and a brilliant team of people in creating the digital go-to bank in Saudi Arabia.”

Niven will continue his work with UAE-based digital advisory firm Mingzulu, of which he is the founder, focusing on fintech, digital, banking and the venture capital sector.

Over the course of Niven’s tenure, Banque Saudi Fransi has been undergoing a digital transformation.

Founded in 1977, Banque Saudi Fransi offers corporate banking, commercial banking and retail banking, including Islamic banking. The bank is an affiliate of the Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.
