“Australian Survivor: Heroes Vs Villains” is all set to kick off in January 2023. After announcing the cast one-by-one throughout November and December, we now know everyone who’ll be participating.

Even better, we now have our first footage of the new series, after Ten dropped an all-new teaser trailer on December 21.

The trailer features host Jonathan LaPaglia, as well as cast members Hayley Leake and George Mladenov, who both starred in “Australian Survivor: Brains Vs Brawn”. Leake won the series, with Mladenov coming in second.

“In every superhero movie I’ve ever seen, the hero wins!” Hayley says in the trailer.

“What makes someone a villain in this game is killer instinct,” George counters.

“When it comes to Survivor, you can play any way you like,” JLP says. “The question is, who does it better? A hero? Or a villain?”

The trailer is set to the familiar beat of Queen’s “We Will Rock You”, as “Heroes Vs Villains” cast members, both new and returning, are given the spotlight.

The “Heroes Vs Villains” theme was first done by the US franchise back in 2010, and to this day, it remains one of the show’s most popular seasons. However, “Australian Survivor” has shaken things up a little — rather than featuring all-returning players, the Australian iteration of the “Heroes Vs Villains” concept will feature half new, and half-returning players.

Here’s everything we know about “Australian Survivor: Heroes Vs Villains” so far.
