Anycubic has opened presales for the Photon P1 Max, a large-format resin 3D printer aimed at advanced makers, design studios, and small production teams. The machine combines an 18.3-liter build volume with a 14-inch 12K monochrome LCD, intelligent monitoring, and support for demanding resin materials. It is designed to handle large prototypes, detailed display models, and batches of smaller components without dividing every project into multiple print jobs.
A Larger Resin Printing Workspace
The Photon P1 Max provides enough room to print a single model measuring up to 300 mm tall or arrange multiple parts on the build plate. Its 14-inch 12K LCD is paired with a light system rated for more than 92% uniformity, helping exposure remain consistent from the center to the outer edges of the printing area.
A precision-ground steel build plate and rigid screen mounting structure are intended to reduce unwanted movement during printing. The enclosed body also blocks more than 99.99% of ambient UVA light, limiting accidental resin curing while the printer is operating or waiting between jobs.
Hardware Designed for Extended Jobs
Large resin prints can run for many hours, so the Photon P1 Max uses a C7-grade ball screw, linear guide rails, and the LighTurbo 4.0 light engine. Together, these components provide repeat positioning accuracy of +/-0.01 mm while maintaining stable movement and exposure across longer production cycles.
Anycubic also introduces Wave Release Technology, which is claimed to reduce release force by more than 60% compared with standard NFEP films. Lower release force can decrease stress on broad layers and delicate supports, potentially improving the success rate of prints with large cross-sectional areas.
Automated Checks and Dynamic Adjustments
The printer arrives factory calibrated and includes Intelligent Leveling System 3.0. Before printing, the system checks whether the bed is level and displays real-time force data when manual adjustment is required. This approach does not remove user control but provides more information before resin and printing time are committed.
During operation, Dynamic Release 3.0 changes the lift height and speed according to measured release force. Dynamic Light-Off Compensation 3.0 adjusts light-off time based on resin flow conditions. These systems are especially relevant when switching between models, layer sizes, or materials with different viscosities.
An integrated AI inspection system can monitor build plate installation, bottom-layer separation, remaining resin, and residue inside the vat. The AI monitoring feature is disabled by default, and the interface displays a recording notification whenever it is activated.
Material Handling, Usability, and Presale
Photon P1 Max supports resins with viscosities up to 8000 cps. Its 1,900 ml temperature-controlled vat can maintain resin temperatures up to 35°C, helping thick materials flow more consistently during long jobs. Preset profiles for Anycubic resin products are also included.
Daily maintenance is simplified through a quick-release build plate and resin vat, a tool-free removable exposure screen, resin drip hanger, and redesigned pouring spout. The hinged cover can remain open beyond 45 degrees, while operating noise is rated at no more than 45 dB. AirPure 2.0 is offered separately for users who want additional odor control.
The Anycubic Photon P1 Max entered presale on July 22, 2026. Pricing starts at $849 through August 3, rises to $899 from August 4 to August 11, and reaches $959 from August 12 to August 31. Three bonus gifts are included during these presale stages, but complimentary gifts will no longer be available after September 1.
