On Saturday night, Detective Kautz and Officer Galvan of the LPD Special Enforcement Team reportedly made a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. Police said the driver, a 20-year-old man, was driving without a valid license. The violation prompted officers to call for the vehicle to be towed.

Before towing, it is police protocol to take inventory of what is inside of a vehicle. During the inventory search, officers said they discovered 21 grams of cocaine, 22 Xanax pills, a scale, plastic baggies, and over $800 in cash.

The man was subsequently arrested and booked in jail for alleged possession of drugs with intent to sell.
