It’s (Instagram) official! On Saturday, Alex Rodriguez shared a family photo featuring himself, his girlfriend, fitness instructor Jac Cordeiro, and his two daughters – Natasha, 18, and Ella, 14 – both of whom he shares with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. The photo marks the first time the former MLB player has shared a photo of Cordeiro on his grid, confirming their relationship.
The photo is a festive one, featuring Rodriguez, his daughters, and Cordeiro all posing in front of a large Christmas tree. “From our hearts to yours, Merry Christmas,” he captioned the post alongside several hashtags, including #family and #grateful.
Rodriguez was first linked to Cordeiro in October, per Page Six. At the time, a source told the publication, “Friends say he’s very happy and enjoying [their] time together. He’s enjoying spending time with her. She’s great! She’s a former nurse and a mother of two.”
In addition to being a fitness instructor, Cordeiro is also the founder of Jacfit, a fitness model, and writer, according to her Instagram bio. On Saturday, she also shared several photos with Rodriguez to her Instagram Story, as well as a video that appears to show the MLB star walking through New York City arm-in-arm with her children.
Rodriguez’s relationship with Cordeiro comes after he split from model Kathryne Padgett in September. The couple reportedly dated throughout the summer, with a source telling People that their relationship “just ran its course.”
Prior to Padgett, Rodriguez was in a high profile relationship with Jennifer Lopez. The duo began dating in 2017, before announcing they were engaged in 2019. However, in April 2021, they issued a statement calling off their engagement.
“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” their statement read. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have is to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”
After their split, Lopez reconnected with her ex Ben Affleck, and the couple married in July.
