Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan was leaked on YouTube after appearing on pirate websites. Leading news sites said that the movie could be viewed in HD quality and had received over 2.3 million views on YouTube. The movie was removed from the internet and the link vanished hours later.
Adipurush, which was directed by Om Raut, received a lot of backlash for its dialogues, which offended religious sensibilities. Manoj Muntashir, who wrote the dialogue, recently apologised to the audience for upsetting people’s feelings after much uproar. He shared on Instagram, “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation. #Adipurush.”
Adipurush was released on June 16 and was inspired from Hindu epic Ramayana. It features Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman.
