Rumours were rife recently that ace filmmaker Aand L Rai and Akshay Kumar had a fallout. Thus leading to quitting their next together titled Gorkha. As the buzz started getting stronger, the director took the opportunity to address it.
As reported on a leading entertainment portal, he has confirmed that the film has been shelved currently due to certain factual and technical errors that cannot be ignored. He said, “There are so many technical things that we need to take care of before we do the film. We also need to work on the factual details of the film. So, it will need the time it deserves. We can’t rush it.”
Aanand L Rai has further confirmed that if the movie is made, Akshay Kumar will be the lead choice as it was meant to be. Gorkha is a story based on the real-life of Major General Ian Cardozo.
