Between his Sunday night gig in Ottawa and his Toronto show on Tuesday, Hozier had a day off. He didn’t spend the day resting or exploring the city, instead he trekked to Waterloo* to spend time at the Perimeter Institute with astrophysicist Katie Mack. Mack says the two discussed black holes and dark matter, quantum gravity, and the Einstein Field Equations.
Hozier and Mack are friends and in fact he has mentioned her by name on his previous album. In the song, “No Plan” Hozier sings:
“There’s no plan
There’s no hand on the rein
As Mack explained
There will be darkness again”
