How Did ‘90 Day Fiance’ Stars Gino and Jasmine Meet?
Gino and Jasmine made their debut on the season 5 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days premiere in December 2021. The Michigan native met Jasmine online in 2019 and documented his December 2020 trip to her native country of Panama to meet her in person for the very first time. The couple seemed to hit it off, but they hit a few rough patches as they struggled with Jasmine’s jealousy issues.

While in Panama, the engineer whisked Jasmine away for a $2,500 vacation to San José Island, off the coast Panama, as a Christmas 2020 gift. During what should have been a romantic vacation, Jasmine received several Direct Messages from an ex-girlfriend of Gino’s who wanted to warn Jasmine that Gino had been contacting her. After confronting Gino about messaging his ex, Jasmine exchanged messages with Gino’s ex via DM and the ex revealed that Gino had sent her nude photos of Jasmine.
Gino denied it, but then the ex sent a screenshot of the photos and he ultimately confessed. “That was [me] rubbing it into her, yes,” he told her as the American literature teacher started to cry. “But that’s the only time I ever did it, I was showing her, ‘Look how hot my girlfriend is.’”
“I don’t care if it was only once! I trusted on [sic] you to send you those pictures, Gino. I will never be able to trust on [sic] your ever,” she said, sobbing as she got up and walked away from him.
Gino expressed regret for sending the nude photos of Jasmine to his ex-girlfriend. “I wish I could take it back, but it is true that I sent topless photos to my ex of Jasmine,” he said in his confessional. “I sent the pictures as revenge to show how amazing and wonderful of a girlfriend I have at this moment. It was a huge mistake. Obviously.”
Jasmine later explained that she was “completely showing [her] breasts” in the photos that Gino had sent to his ex. She then started a conversation with Gino’s ex, who sent Jasmine screenshots of the conversation she had with Gino. In the messages, which appeared onscreen, Gino told his ex that Jasmine “goes crazy if I mention anything about ex’s [sic].” Another message read, “She gets super jealous if I even mention a woman’s name.” Jasmine learned that Gino had sent his ex those messages while she was taking a nap on their island vacation.
The brunette beauty then headed to her and Gino’s hotel room and confronted him, which turned into an explosive, blowout fight. “Shut up your f–king mouth!” she interrupted as he tried to apologize in a scene that aired during the February 6, 2022, episode. She also confronted Gino about his past as a “sugar daddy,” and he admitted to paying “sugar babies” anywhere from $200 to $250 to go on dinner dates with him before he met Jasmine — which she learned from his ex.
“I’m sorry, I’m not a sugar baby. I prefer to have three, four, five, six, seven jobs. I can accept poverty, but this is depressing because men like you take advantage of women that need it,” Jasmine seethed on the February 20, 2022, episode. “And if I’m going to date a sugar f–king daddy, if that’s gonna be my business, which I’m not interested in — look at me. And I’m intelligent. I will get a sugar daddy that is the sugar daddy of the sugar daddies. Not a f–king crazy old man, alone and depressing from Michigan. Give me a break.”
It seemed like things were over for good but after taking the night to cool off, Jasmine and Gino went for a walk on the beach the following morning, where he shared a heartfelt apology to the brunette beauty. She accepted his apology and promise that something like this would never happen again, and they quickly reconciled on the February 27, 2022, episode.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of their blowout fights. On the March 27, 2022, episode, Jasmine started an argument with Gino during their last dinner together before he returned to Michigan. The Panama native said she found out via social media that his ex-wife still uses his last name, and she felt that his ex-wife should change her last name back to her maiden name since the surname Palazzolo should belong to her now.
Even through all the ups and downs, Jasmine and Gino ended their season engaged after Gino proposed to her toward the end of their trip.
Jasmine and Gino Return For Season 6 of ‘90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’
In May 2023, it was announced that Gino and Jasmine were returning to the TLC franchise for season 6 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. The series, which premiered June 4, 2023, proves that fans haven’t seen the end of Jasmine and Gino’s explosive arguments.
“I’m getting really worried,” Gino is seen telling Jasmine in the trailer shared by Entertainment Tonight. “Are you cheating on me?”
In a separate joint confessional, the automotive engineer stormed off as he told Jasmine that she was a “f—king idiot.”
“I’m gonna go to my ex,” the brunette beauty yelled back. “He knows how to f—k. He’s the best man I have ever had. F—k you.”
The couple reunited in Panama after five months apart in a teaser clip for the June 11 episode, which was shared by People. Upon their reunion, the couple proved that they still have a deep physical connection and started making out.
“If we were not here at this public place, at the airport with tons of family, kids and stuff, my lipstick would not only be on your face,” Jasmine told both the cameras and Gino after she got lipstick all over him. “But, on my favorite piece of meat on earth.”
Following their passionate kiss, Jasmine made it clear that she planned to keep things spicy the rest of the day. “I want to take my baby home, cook for him, pamper him, and eat you. You’re my dessert,” she told Gino.
Things within the season continued to rise and fall between the couple, especially regarding children and family plans. After joking with Jasmine that she might be pregnant, Gino asked if she would want to have another child. Jasmine said that she liked the idea of it but not so much the reality, to which Gino confessed that he wouldn’t be happy if they abandoned having a family together. Jasmine, meanwhile, questioned if she and Gino would be good parents together, admitting that she’s not sure if she will ever be prepared to have a child with the engineer.
Viewers were treated to yet another fight between the couple after Jasmine told Gino that he needed to pay her rent until her K-1 via was approved. In the teaser clip for the August 27, 2023, episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Jasmine proceeded to slam her fiancé for not providing more for her.
“I know that he could afford it so paying for the apartment until the visa comes through shouldn’t be an issue,” Jasmine said in a confessional. “But for me, it is not just about the apartment. Gino has had so many opportunities to show me that I am his priority.”
She continued, “Like hire an immigration lawyer for our K-1 visa, pay for this apartment so I can stay here while we wait for the K-1 visa, but he won’t do any of that and I’m sick of it.”
As for Gino, he tried to push Jasmine into exploring more affordable options, before telling her, “You sound a little spoiled.” “I’ve been so good to you,” she retorted. “But I’m a little spoiled just for asking for a decent place?” Things escalated even further, leading both to call the other “trash” before Jasmine started cleaning out Gino’s things from her closet. After he proceeded to throw her belongings on the ground, Jasmine shouted, “Get out of my f–k-ing way!” before leaving the room.
Are ‘90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ Stars Gino and Jasmine Still Together?
Despite the drama, Jasmine and Gino were still together in a long-distance relationship and engagement following their time on season 5 of the 90 Day Fiancé spinoff.
In October 2022, the Panamanian beauty confirmed their relationship by slamming a troll who criticized her for not marrying and having kids with Gino.
“Gino and I genuinely love each other,” Jasmine wrote via her Instagram Stories. “It’s been three years and we’re still going strong. Our eyes are on the stars but our feet on the ground! Love is patient.”
By December 2022, the couple reunited physically after spending several months apart due to their long-distance romance. They celebrated Christmas together in Jasmine’s apartment in Panama.
“Merry Christmas to all of you! We both feel so thankful for all the love and support. Thank you to all the ones who have followed our not traditional love story, but one thing is for certain: we are genuinely in love,” Jasmine captioned a loved up photo of her and Gino on December 24 via Instagram. “The best holidays for you, our dearest friends. Love you all, Jazzy and el gringo bonito.”
While Jasmine and Gino have seemingly scrubbed most photos of each other off Instagram as of May 2023, the flames still follow each other — which is a hint they might still be together. In the June 18, 2023, episode of Before the 90 Days, however, the two were captured fighting over dinner preparation plans. While Jasmine wanted to share the experience, Gino seemingly refused because he didn’t have the “proper equipment.”
“Just because I asked you to peel a few potatoes, what is wrong with that?” Jasmine asks him in the trailer, to which Gino later reflected in a confessional, “Jasmine doesn’t listen to me a lot of times when I try to speak to her, like it goes from one ear to out the other,” he says. “I don’t want to upset her, but Jasmine needs to understand that she can’t walk all over me and I’m gonna stand up for myself.”
In her own confessional, Jasmine admitted, “I really tried to take care of everything and I really thought this was going to be fun, we were going to enjoy it and we were going to be at this moment happily eating our food. I just want to make him happy but I can’t.”
During the same episode, the pair faced more conflict when they disagreed about their desires to have sex.
“In a relationship, sex is super important,” she told cameras after Gino didn’t show interest in her advances. “So I’m hoping that Gino will put more effort into having sex during this trip.”
In his own confessional, Gino noted that “sex is important” to him and explained he wasn’t in the mood for a specific reason. “After seeing her spending habits and how she’s being a little pushy with me to get what she wants, it’s not making me feel good about our future together,” he said. “And that affects my sexual desire.”
After Gino went to sleep, Jasmine vented her frustrations. “My behavior is completely normal. Any other girl, fiancée will do after not seeing her man,” she said in a confessional. “I’m not surprised, but I’m disappointed that he’s pushing me away. That’s not how you treat the person that you love.”
In a funny moment, however, fans got a glimpse of Gino for the first time without a hat on, with Jasmine telling him, “The very brief times I have seen him without the hat, I’m telling him like, ‘You are [the] Michigan version of Bruce Willis.’ Like, look at him! He’s a Hollywood star.”
