Deer rescued from Fort Myers pond

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A deer was seen swimming in a retention pond south of RSW on Tuesday.

According to a social media post, the deer was rescued by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, South District Deputies, the Lee County Port Authority and Lee County ARFF Fire Division.

Rescuers made a makeshift lasso and pulled the deer to safety without injury.
