Persistent Pup Repeatedly Breaks Into Home To Steal All The Hearts Inside

When you get a dog, it’s usually a researched plan that culminates in meeting a pup at a local rescue or a breeder’s home. For one family, they didn’t so much have a say in adopting a canine companion. More so, the dog adopted them and did it by breaking into their home. Repeatedly.

Newly-claimed dog mom Cheryl shared the story of Luna barging into her family’s home and hearts on TikTok and YouTube, where more than fifty-six thousand dog lovers have viewed the video. And like them, this “story time” about a persistent pup named Luna Michelle will leave you laughing and delighted too!

Breaking Into the Fam

The story of Luna breaking in begins like a scary movie, with Cheryl setting the scene as a regular but late night. Her wife was putting their daughter to bed while Cheryl “was in the bathroom, mid-pee.” But the peace of a good pee was destroyed when Cheryl’s wife, Amber, screamed for help. At first, Amber thought the intruder busting through their door was a wolf, but she and Cheryl quickly realized it was a dog creating “all this chaos at 1:30 in the morning.”

Cheryl, Amber, and their daughter scrambled to shoo the furry stranger from their house, but nothing worked.

“This dog is relentless about getting inside of the house,” Cheryl said. “She will not leave. Every time we successfully get her out, she weasels her way back in.”

So that’s when the plan to trick the pup with treats was hatched. Everyone was assigned their tasks, and the plan was enacted. Cheryl and Amber lured the dog outside while Jordyn locked the front door. They then snuck back into the house via the backdoor. The plan was sound, but as Cheryl quipped in the video, “Can’t trust the child.” Luna was already back inside!

Really though, Cheryl said, “the door sucks,” so the “ninja dog” had no trouble sneaking back into the house. So, the family repeated the plan and succeeded in their second attempt at bait and switch, even throwing treats as far as the driveway. They figured the dog would eat the snacks and then head home. Little did they know Luna was already home.

Morning Light & The Dog Is In Again

Cheryl dozed into the morning after the previous night’s shenanigans but woke to the “tap tap of footprints.” She had her immediate suspicions about who those noisy feet belonged to and who had let her in.

“Sure enough, they let this dog in the house,” said Cheryl.

And after a bath, the family headed to Petco for a microchip scan and didn’t find one. Instead, Luna was treated to a shopping spree of food and toys! To be a pup Cheryl and her family “might” keep, Luna had already made herself at home.

The only member of the family who isn’t so sure yet? Spencer the cat. Hopefully, time will sway the kitty, too, but first, Luna may have to give up trying to give Spencer big wet kisses if she wants to be friends with her new brother!
