Samsung Electronics has introduced intelligent eyewear designed to extend the Galaxy ecosystem beyond the smartphone and into a wearable form suited to daily routines, work, travel, and other hands-free situations.
Unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked in London, the new eyewear was developed with Google and global eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. It combines context-aware artificial intelligence with lightweight frames designed to function as part of the user’s personal style.
Designed for everyday wear
The eyewear pairs a lightweight frame and slim profile with the durability and comfort required for daily use. Developed in collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, the product draws on each brand’s design expertise and will be offered in a range of frame styles, colors, and lens options for different preferences and lifestyles.
“As agentic AI reshapes mobile experiences, the next step is to make those experiences more intuitive and responsive to each user’s context,” said Won-Joon Choi, chief operating officer of the Mobile eXperience business at Samsung Electronics. “Intelligent eyewear creates a new point of interaction, bringing more personalized AI assistance naturally into the moments that make up everyday life.”
Bringing AI closer to the user
As AI enters what Samsung describes as an agentic era, the question is no longer only how intelligent the technology becomes, but where and how it interacts with people.
Mobile phones remain at the center of connected experiences, while devices across the Galaxy ecosystem provide additional context for different moments of daily life. Intelligent eyewear represents the next step by bringing AI closer to users as they move, work, communicate, and explore, without requiring every interaction to begin with a screen.
The eyewear brings AI directly into the user’s line of sight, providing timely information and assistance while allowing the wearer to remain engaged with the people, places, and tasks around them.
Samsung said clear controls and safeguards support responsible and secure use, while hands-free access allows users to receive assistance without stopping what they are doing or turning to another screen.
Powered by Android XR and Gemini
Designed for everyday wear, the eyewear combines a lightweight frame, slim profile, and battery performance of up to nine hours on a single charge. Its charging case can provide up to seven additional full charges.
A built-in camera adds visual context to the AI experience, while the Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 Platform supports the processing required for real-time assistance. Touch interaction, connectivity, power efficiency, and thermal management have also been optimized for the eyewear’s compact frame.
Built in partnership with Google, the device brings Gemini into a familiar wearable form factor, allowing interactions to feel more natural, immediate, and intuitive.
“Google and Samsung have a shared vision to bring helpful and context-aware intelligence into everyday life,” said Sameer Samat, president of Android Ecosystem at Google. “Built on the Android XR platform, the intelligent eyewear blends world-class designs with Gemini’s advanced assistance that naturally responds to what you see, delivering all-day, hands-free help. We’re excited to continue this momentum and bring this experience to people soon.”
Hands-free assistance for daily tasks
The intelligent eyewear is designed to support several everyday experiences.
Staying in the moment
The device can summarize long messages, read important information aloud, support live translation, and allow users to control the experience through simple voice or gesture interactions with connected devices.
Capturing context
When prompted, the eyewear can capture what the user is seeing, such as a whiteboard or meeting discussion. It can then organize key information in Notes, making the material easier to review, share, and follow up on later.
Real-time interaction
Users can ask for location-based guidance, including finding a route, setting a destination, or understanding what is around them. Live translation can also help users communicate in another language.
Context-aware assistance
The device can support follow-up interactions by understanding the user’s current context and connecting relevant information across tasks. This allows users to continue where they left off with less repetition.
Live visual sharing
Users can share what they are seeing during a call or record their own point of view, making communication more immediate while keeping their hands free.
Eyewear as a personal style statement
Samsung said the product was designed around the idea that eyewear is both functional and personal.

The company worked with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker to balance design, comfort, and everyday wearability. By combining Samsung’s hardware development with the distinctive design approaches of both eyewear brands, the collaboration offers different styles for a range of preferences, lifestyles, and occasions.
The Gentle Monster edition features a slim black frame with a straight upper rim and softly rounded lower edges, creating a refined, fashion-forward silhouette.

The Warby Parker style features a subtly upswept brow line in a rich brown finish, giving it a refined and versatile shape for everyday settings.

Throughout the development process, Samsung worked with both eyewear partners to refine fit points around the forehead and ears. These considerations helped shape the final designs for improved comfort, durability, and everyday wearability.
