Japanese watchmaker Seiko has introduced a special-edition Prospex diver’s watch to commemorate the 60th anniversary of PADI, the world’s largest diving education organization. The launch also marks a decade-long partnership between Seiko and PADI, built around a shared commitment to diver safety, underwater exploration, and ocean conservation. The new Seiko Prospex Diver’s Watch PADI 60th Anniversary Limited Edition (HBB002) draws insp iration from PADI’s 60th anniversary logo. The watch features a striking blue dial accented with red details on the seconds hand and the “Diver’s 200m” text, while a globe motif stretches across the dial to symbolize the global diving community. A blue ceramic bezel adds both visual appeal and enhanced scratch resistance.

Built on Seiko’s iconic “King Turtle” diver platform, the watch retains the collection’s recognizable cushion-shaped case and signature 4 o’clock crown position. The stainless-steel case measures 45mm in diameter and offers 200 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for professional diving activities. Powering the timepiece is Seiko’s automatic Caliber 4R36 movement, delivering approximately 41 hours of power reserve. In addition to its stainless-steel bracelet, the anniversary model includes a high-strength silicone strap printed with the full “Professional Association of Diving Instructors” name, designed for comfortable wear over a wetsuit or directly on the wrist.

Limited to 8,000 pieces worldwide, the Seiko Prospex Diver’s Watch PADI 60th Anniversary Limited Edition will be available from July 2026 through Seiko boutiques and select retail partners. The release celebrates not only PADI’s six decades of promoting diving education but also Seiko’s long-standing heritage in diver’s watchmaking, which dates back to the launch of Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965.

The Seiko Prospex Diver’s Watch PADI 60th Anniversary Limited Edition (HBB002) is priced at €750 (approximately US$810) and will be available from July 2026. The watch is limited to 8,000 pieces worldwide. For diving enthusiasts and collectors alike, the new limited-edition model represents a meaningful tribute to two organizations that have helped shape modern diving culture while championing the protection of the world’s oceans.
