The sculptures are 12-foot-tall, 25-ton blocks of snow. Artists are only allowed to use hand tools, creativity and inspiration. No power tools allowed! It usually takes 100 hours over five days.

“EL CONFLICTUAO” El Conflictuao symbolizes the gaucho at his origins—a free man in conflict with the oligarchy and emerging capitalism. The work represents the resistance of local identity against globalization, paying homage to a spirit that fights for autonomy and freedom.

Finland
“GODDESS OF CREATION” The story of the sculpture is inspired by the Finnish national epic Kalevala and the celestial being Ilmatar. In the Kalevala, the cosmos appears as an infinite, serene sky above a calm, boundless ocean. This endless tranquility stirs restlessness in Ilmatar, prompting her to rise from the waves of the sea.

“BALANCE AND LIGHTNESS” The sculpture conveys a sense of balance and lightness. Within an open, cube-shaped frame, a flawless, smooth body – a sphere – floats seemingly weightlessly, precisely centered between two horizontal axes. This central form appears to float, making its stability seem almost unreal. Despite its massive, geometric shapes, the composition appears light and clear: an almost floating lightness. It mediates between earth and sky, as if the earth pauses for a moment, in perfect balance. A fragile balance between solidity and openness – a meditative object.

Once a wild grass, it now fills our grocery stores and heavily shapes our diets. So ask yourself: are we eating corn, or is corn using us for centuries to thrive?

“THE KING OF THE ALPS” The ibex is the king of its habitat and the strongest beast of the Alps. In this sculpture, we portray the king crowned, highlighting the incredible strength and pride of this remarkable animal.

Just as the diverse life forces within these orbs form a harmony, the unique individuality of each person in our society creates true beauty and richness. This power of essence is the hope for humanity’s bright future, serving as the fundamental driving force for a society that shines through creation, coexistence, and connection, rather than destruction or conflict.

“RAISE YOUR FLAG” We unlock the snow. We liberate the cube from its monolithic anchor, letting it breathe a new rhythm, a new structure, a new dream. WE RAISE A FLAG from snow! A flag of snow, a flag to snow. But wait—maybe it is a temple? A monument to the material itself. The sculpture echoes the surrounding mountains, its shape tracing the soft descent of an alpine trail.
Malta
“SANSUNA” This sculpture reimagines the mythical giant women believed to have built Malta’s prehistoric temples. Carrying a stone on her shoulder while nurturing a child, she embodies both endurance and tenderness, labor and care. Inspired by the symbolism of Ġgantija and Ħaġar Qim, her form evokes ancient strength carved into fleeting snow. The piece is a tribute to time, memory, and the enduring power of the feminine, momentarily captured in ice and light.
Mongolia – Second Place Winner Silver 🥈
“LASSOING TIME” Lassoing Time evokes the cowboy’s iconic act while honoring the long history that precedes him. This sculpture weaves together Mongolian nomadic life and Native American ranching traditions through their shared ritual of roping. In a single suspended moment, it captures raw energy, fearless spirit, and human resolve—a mounted rider casting his lasso toward a raging bull, echoing courage passed down across cultures and generations.
Ukraine
“THE COUPLE” The Couple, represents love and happiness. True happiness comes not from being alone, but from being together—a sentiment expressed in the composition. The piece depicts two abstract figures united in a single, fluid form, inseparable from one another. Through this artwork, we hope to celebrate and support family values.

“THE FRONTIER AWAITS” The life of a mountain man was filled with adventure—surviving off the land and discovering the routes that led deep into the wilderness. Exploring the frontier brought both unknown dangers and unexpected thrills.

“EIGHT OF DIAMONDS” Eight intersecting diamonds form a radiant geometry—balanced, infinite, and charged with mystery. In cartomancy, the Eight of Diamonds hints at sudden insight, material shifts, and karmic cycles. This sculpture channels that energy, evoking symbols of growth, transformation, and the delicate dance between structure and chance.
