An X post image authentically shows the late, conservative activist Charlie Kirk once said, “I have so many thoughts on this that it literally keeps me up at night, Zohran Mamdani eating rice with his HANDS during an interview. I very sincerely doubt he has to scratch his anus any less than the rest of us which makes that whole display unbelievably disgusting.”
A rumor that circulated online in September 2025 claimed that, weeks prior to conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s fatal shooting, the Turning Point USA co-founder shared a post on X revealing he commonly scratched his anus.
However, this matter originated in a fake post image. A search of Kirk’s X account located no record of any posts featuring the word “anus,” nor did another search find any similar posts from July 1 — the date displayed in the image.
As one of many examples of the claim on social media, on Sept. 24, an X user posted the inauthentic post image with the added text caption, “Remember when Charlie Kirk talked about how he couldn’t eat with his hands because he had to constantly scratch his anus?” The post received over 1 million views.
The fake post image displaying Kirk’s face, name and X handle of @charliekirk11 read, “I have so many thoughts on this that it literally keeps me up at night, Zohran Mamdani eating rice with his HANDS during an interview. I very sincerely doubt he has to scratch his anus any less than the rest of us which makes that whole display unbelievably disgusting.”

A reverse-image search for the fake post image located numerous reposts on Bluesky (archived), Facebook, Instagram, Reddit (archived), Threads (archived), and X (archived). The earliest reposts found in the search displayed the date of July 2, 2025.
The user who created the inauthentic post image — a person who Snopes could not locate and identify — possibly used as a template a genuine Kirk post (archived) from July 1, simply removing the text and a video and replacing that content with the fabricated text.
That genuine Kirk post also featured information about a real clip showing Democratic nominee for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani eating rice with his hands, and displayed slightly higher counts for replies, reposts, likes and views — potentially indicating the fake post image’s creator captured a screenshot of the authentic Kirk post while the post was still receiving many of its engagements.
