CLEVELAND (WJW) — An SUV crashed into a Subway restaurant overnight in Cleveland.
The crash occurred at about 1:15 a.m. on Thursday. The SUV slammed into the cement corner of the Subway located at the corner of Superior Avenue and E. 17th Street.
According to officials, deputies attempted a traffic stop and the vehicle sped off. Deputies did not further pursue the vehicle, which later crashed, at the direction of a supervisor.
A FOX 8 crew on the scene reports that EMS transported several people from the scene in unknown conditions.
The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department is handling the crash.
