CLEVELAND (WJW) — The Cleveland Browns announced Saturday they have officially signed running back Quinshon Judkins to his rookie deal with the team.
Fox 8 Sports Reporter John Sabol also confirmed the news Saturday morning, reporting the four-year contract is worth $11.3 million. It is fully guaranteed.
The Browns selected Judkins 36th overall during the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft after Judkins helped lead Ohio State to a national championship.
After spending some of the offseason with the Browns, Judkins was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on battery and domestic violence charges back in July and hadn’t been with the team.
In August, prosecutors chose to not move forward with charges against Judkins, which opened up the possibility for him to return to the Browns.
While Judkins’ legal trouble is behind him, he may still face punishment from the NFL, which conducts its own investigations.
“We have been following developments in the matter which remains under review,” an NFL spokesperson told Fox 8 last month.
It’s not clear yet when fans may see Judkins join the team on the field.
The Browns will be granted a two-game roster exemption for Judkins from the 53-player Active/Inactive List, the team announced.
The Browns open their season on Sunday at home against the Bengals.
