AVON, Ohio (WJW) – The Avon Eagles’ and Saint Ignatius Wildcats had some added excitement to their season opener when two Cleveland Browns players showed up to watch the high school matchup.
A FOX 8 camera spotted rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders and cornerback Greg Newsome II on the Thursday night game sidelines.
Not much is known about exactly why the two NFL players dropped in for the visit, but it was a welcome sight for fans who got to see the players showing support for the young athletes.
