“They talking about like Comeback Player of the Year for Aidan,” Arnold said to Adams. “You should be talking about Defensive Player of the Year!”

“Hutch is literally like a machine. Like, he’s like, almost like a robot. Where like after he does what he does, he just goes back into his locker and he just recharges. And then like, next thing you know, here we go again.”

That’s the kind of endorsement that turns heads, especially from a defensive teammate who sees him grind every day.

For context, Hutchinson already has 28.5 career sacks in just 39 games. Before his 2024 injury, he was trending toward a double-digit sack season. In only five games last year, he still managed 7.5 sacks, 12 tackles, and a forced fumble, production most edge rushers would love over half a season.

Now healthy again, Hutchinson looks faster, stronger, and more determined. If he keeps dominating the way he has at camp, it’s not far-fetched to think about him being in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation.
