Singer, songwriter and producer Fana Hues is in Cleveland tonight to open up for Lucky Daye. The show is at The Agora, and if you’d like to purchase tickets CLICK HERE.

Hues, a powerful songstress, just released her third studio album MOTH (Matters of the Heart). The project, which is executive produced by Fana, “is a vulnerable and arresting portrait of her newfound womanhood.”

“All of my projects are pretty introspective because music is therapy for me,” Fana proclaims. “I want the growth to be documented.”

Outside of her own projects, Fana featured alongside Brent Faiyaz on Tyler The Creator’s Sweet / I Thought You Wanted To Dance track, from his Grammy-winning album CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST.

Tonight, however, Fana just hopes to experience a nice crowd – and hopefully get them to participate in her new dance, that she shared with Bijou in the WZAK studio.

When Sam Sylk asked about how the tour with Lucky Daye was going, Fana was open and excited to mention Daye’s welcoming fans. “They come there ready to have a good time. They’re not shy about it. Which I love.” She went on, “They’re ready to party. As soon as I step on stage they’re already screaming and they don’t even know me.”

A bit later Sam asked about Fana’s love for Lauryn Hill. Hues has received critical acclaim for covering Hill’s Tell Him, and she was quick to offer high praise for the former Fuggees member. “I love Lauryn Hill,” she said.

“I see,” Sam replied, as the trio shared a heartwarming laugh.
