All We Imagine As Light director Payal Kapadia scripted history at Cannes as her film won the prestigious Grand Prix Award at the film festival, marking the first time in 30 years that an Indian film was nominated to contest in the main category.

Payal took to social media to express her gratitude for this enormous achievement. She wrote, “It is a great achievement for us that we have given this award to our country after thirty years. The director was accompanied by the cast of the film including Chhaya Kadam, Kani Kusruti and Divya Prabha. She received congratulatory messages from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several B-town celebrities too including her fans.
