2025 fall festivals in Northeast Ohio

OHIO (WJW) — The fall season is quickly approaching, so it’s a great time to start making plans with your friends and family.

Here in Northeast Ohio, we take the fall season very seriously. With leaves changing colors, pumpkins and apples growing, and great weather, we do the season right with plenty of festivals to check out.

AKRON

German Family Society Oktoberfest

The Oktoberfest is taking place September 5-7 and is free for kids 12 and under. There will be food, drinks, dancing and more!

ASHLAND

Honey Haven Fall Festival

The Honey Haven Fall Festival in Ashland will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, September 27 through October 26. A maze, a barnyard zoo and a weekly craft show are just some of the activities guests can enjoy. This year’s corn maze theme is “Fall Family Fun 25 Years.”

BARBERTON

Mum Festival

The Barberton Mum Festival takes place at Lake Anna Park September 27-28. It features a hand-planted garden of chrysanthemums, live music and entertainment, craft vendors, food trucks and more.

BEREA

Harvest Fest

The Berea Harvest Fast takes place on October 12 at Coe Lake Park. It offers activities for all ages, music, crafts, food vendors, inflatables and more.

BRUNSWICK

Mapleside Farms Fall Festivals

Mapleside Farms in Brunswick has something for everyone to enjoy throughout the fall season. Fall festivals begin September 12 and go through October 26. Festivals include the Great Pumpkin Fest, Spooky Fest and the Johnny Appleseed Festival.

CLEVELAND

Cleveland Oktoberfest

The second weekend of the Cleveland Oktoberfest takes place on September 5-6.  There will be live music and cultural performances, as well as food, drinks, wiener dog races and so much more!

Spooky Tower at Tower City Center

Tower City Center is welcoming Clevlanders of all ages to celebrate Halloween this October! Spooky Tower will offer guests a world of “ghosts, ghouls and games” every Saturday and Sunday, October 4 through October 26.

CUYAHOGA FALLS

Oktoberfest Festival

The Oktoberfest Festival in Cuyahoga Falls takes place September 19-21. There is free admission, free parking and free entertainment!

EASTLAKE

Oktoberfest

The City of Eastlake Oktoberfest takes place on September 14. There will be live music, food, games and more.

KENT

Dussel Farm pumpkin patch/festival

Dussel Farm offers a pumpkin patch and festival, corn maze, food and fun throughout the fall season in Kent.

Oktoberfest

The Kent Oktoberfest will be held on October 4, starting at noon. There will be seasonal bear, German-inspired food, dancers and music, and even competitions. The festival takes place in Downtown Kent.

KIRTLAND

Halloween Drive-Thru

The Halloween Drive-thru returns to the Lake Metroparks Farmpark on Saturdays, October 10–24, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event offers family-friendly thrills, chills and adventure from the comfort of your own vehicles. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

LAKEWOOD

Spooky Pooch Parade 2025

The Spooky Pooch Parade will be held on October 11 at Madison Park from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. The event is free to attend, but registration is required to enter the costume contest and march in the parade. There will be entertainment, activities for kids, dog-related vendors and more.

NORTON

Norton Cider Festival

The 37th annual Norton Cider Festival takes place October 3-5. There will be a parade, live entertainment, an apple decorating contest and even more fun for all ages.

PENINSULA

Heritage Farms Pumpkin Pandemonium

Heritage Farms is Open 7 Days a week for the 2025 Pumpkin Pandemonium event, September 27 – October 25. There will be Hayrides, a maze, a scavenger challenge and kidzone activities.

RITTMAN

Bauman Orchards Fall Festival

The Bauman Orchards Fall Festival takes place on Saturdays, September 20 – October 4. There will be apple picking, homemade cider donuts, food trucks, live music and lots of family-friendly activities.

ROCKY RIVER

Fall Arts Festival

The Rocky River Fall Arts Festival takes place on September 13 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. According to the Rocky River website, money raised from the festival will go directly to the community for funding things such as park improvements.

STOW

Harvest Festival

The 2025 annual Stow Historical Society Harvest Festival will take place September 27 – 28. There will be art, crafts, food, free tours and activities for all ages.

VERMILION

Woollybear Festival

The 53rd annual Woollybear Festival returns on October 5, presented by the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce and FOX 8 News. To celebrate the legacy of FOX 8’s own Dick Goddard, there will be the woollybear 500 caterpillar race, costume contests, the famous woollybear parade, live entertainment and FOX 8’s Official Winter Weather Prediction – what will the woollybear say?

WOOSTER

Woosterfest

The 42nd annual Woosterfest will be held in Downtown Wooster September 26 – 27. There will be free entertainment, food vendors, a bier and weingarten, activities and various competitions, including the beloved wiener dog race.
